Artificial intelligence company xAl has introduced a new fact-checking feature in its chatbot Grok. The move is the company's attempt to tackle misinformation on social media. The tool enables X users to verify post claims through the Grok icon, which they can access from the content.

X enables users to verify the truthfulness of viral posts within two seconds. The company introduced the tool as Al-generated content, and manipulated media have made it harder for users to identify authentic information online.

According to xAl, the new tool enables users to check the credibility of posts directly from the platform. By tapping the Grok icon in a post, users can receive a breakdown of the content's claims and contextual information generated by the Al system.

The feature analyzes the text, captions, and engagement patterns surrounding a post to evaluate whether the information appears credible. Musk initially said the button would appear on the left side of posts, though Grok later clarified that the icon is positioned on the right side.

The Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) has ordered cryptocurrency exchanges MEHS and KuCoin, along with their affiliates, to immediately cease all unlicensed activities in the region. In 

The Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA) has ordered cryptocurrency exchanges MEHS and KuCoin, along with their affiliates, to immediately cease all unlicensed activities in the region.

In a public statement, the regulator stated that MEHS's affiliates were not licensed by VARA. VARA also warned investors of financial risks and legal consequences associated with trading with the exchange.

Notably, VARA's warning to MEHS on Friday followed similar action against KuCoin. On Thursday, VARA issued a stern warning to KuCoin and its users in the region.

"VARA advises consumers and investors in Dubai to avoid trading with KuCoin or using virtual asset services, and to exercise caution when considering trading with unregulated entities."

Dubai positions itself as a cryptocurrency-friendly jurisdiction, but only for companies that comply with its regulatory framework. In October 2025, the regulator fined 19 companies for unlicensed activities in the cryptocurrency sector.
