A crypto analyst has announced that Bitcoin ($BTC) has hit its last bull trap, signaling that the price of the flagship cryptocurrency could fall much further before a potential reversal begins. The analyst has shared a chart highlighting key accumulation areas at levels below $60,000, the lowest price $BTC has reached since its all-time high in 2025.

Bitcoin Reaches Final Bull Trap

Following Bitcoin’s rebound over the weekend, a pseudonymous whale and crypto analyst known as NoName shared an update on Bitcoin’s latest price action and what its next moves may be. In a post on X, NoName announced that Bitcoin has recently hit its second and final bull trap since reaching a price peak in 2025.

He shared a video chart showing how the Bitcoin price has moved throughout its ongoing bear market. After a prolonged rally that eventually pushed Bitcoin to an all-time high above $126,700, the market shifted direction and entered a sustained downtrend, marked by multiple corrective waves.

Later during Q1 2026, Bitcoin experienced its first major bull trap. At the time, the price spiked sharply upward, drawing in late buyers and briefly reviving bullish sentiment before quickly reversing and resuming its decline. The move ultimately caught overleveraged traders off guard, leading to significant losses for those who entered near the top.

After this initial trap, the price continued to slide and establish lower price levels before forming its latest bull trap this month. Here, $BTC surged above $72,000 shortly after the US-Iran ceasefire announcement. The rally held for several days, sustaining optimism slightly, before momentum faded and the price retraced back toward the $70,000 level at the time of writing.

Scroll moves to cut costs after top protocol migrates to Optimism


The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) behind Ethereum layer-2 network Scroll said it will propose a plan to dissolve its Security Council and transfer control of the network to an account managed by an internal team.

The proposal announcement comes two months after Scroll’s top fee-generating decentralized application (dapp), crypto neobank Ether.fi, moved to Optimism’s OP mainnet. That saw roughly 300,000 user accounts and more than $160 million in total value locked move away from the network.

In a governance update, a Scroll core contributor said the Security Council was simply too expensive. Scroll is laying off several contributors within the DAO and reducing the capacity of its operational committees. The handover is targeted for the next 10 days, pending support from the current council.

“After evaluating the Security Council’s cost relative to its actual usage over the past quarters, we believe continuation is no longer justified,” the post reads.

The project said all contract changes would be executed transparently and remain verifiable onchain.

Adding to the network's turbulence, a recent surge in Scroll's network fees appeared to be artificially manufactured rather than a sign of organic demand.

Over six days in early April, the network raised the amount it charges to publish data to the Ethereum mainnet by a factor of 1,280, creating the illusion of a massive spike in 30-day chain fee momentum, according to analysis from L2BEAT.

The adjustment forced users to pay over $50,000 in excess transaction fees for data posting that ordinarily would have cost roughly $280. The extreme, temporary repricing was rolled back on April 9.

Bitcoin Bottom Confirmed? Identifying the Final Hurdles for BTC

Two technical indicators now suggest that Bitcoin ($BTC) is entering a bottoming-out phase that precedes the next market rally. However, certain conditions must be met before the final major breakout occurs.

Bitcoin bottom technical indicators

As for a bottom, according to Bitcoin’s Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) indicator, we are not there yet, but are approaching it.

As the chart below shows, the MVRV has yet to turn negative, a level that has historically marked a price floor and preceded upward momentum. A realized price of $54,173 places the current MVRV at 1.35, whereas capitulation phases have historically aligned with MVRV values of 1.0 or below.

Meanwhile, the Bitcoin market capitulation oscillator indicates we are entering a historical cyclical low.
