Shares in Bitcoin-focused Strive closed 5.8% higher on Thursday after the company said it will become a “Daily Dividend Company” and revealed it eliminated all debt in the first quarter of 2026.

The Vivek Ramaswamy-founded company said the Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, ticker SATA, will start paying dividends every business day beginning June 16 at a current annual dividend rate of 13%. The payouts are funded by income generated from the company’s Bitcoin treasury strategy.

Strive CEO Matt Cole said the move will make it the first public company to offer daily dividends, expanding on a similar playbook adopted by Michael Saylor’s Strategy, which has relied on perpetual preferred stock offerings such as Stretch (STRC) to fund its Bitcoin purchases while paying investors every two weeks.

“The rate at which innovation is happening in the digital credit space is fascinating to behold,” said Bitcoin For Corporations contributor Adam Livingston. Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor called the daily dividends “impressive.”

Strive’s daily dividends mark another example of a Bitcoin treasury firm moving beyond a simple buy-and-hold strategy to remain competitive in the bear market.

This comes as Strive reported an unrealized net loss of $265.9 million for Q1. The company attributed the loss to a decrease in the fair market value of its Bitcoin holdings as Bitcoin fell 23% during the quarter.Strive said it ended the quarter with no outstanding debt after buying back the remainder of its long-term notes.

Strive (ASST) shares rose 5.8% to $17.70 Thursday following the company’s earnings statement and gained another 0.73% in after-hours trading.

Brian Armstrong thinks the US is about to do something that changes the game for every other major economy on the planet. The Coinbase CEO is betting that once American lawmakers pass comprehensive crypto market-structure legislation, the rest of the world’s governments will fall in line and legalize Bitcoin.Armstrong has positioned US regulatory clarity as the single most important catalyst for global crypto adoption. He specifically described US regulatory clarity as a “bellwether for the G20.” Whatever framework Congress puts in place will become the template that finance ministries in London, Tokyo, Berlin, and beyond use to draft their own rules.

A single, coherent market-structure bill would replace the current patchwork of enforcement actions, agency turf wars, and court battles with something the rest of the world can actually respond to.

The legislative discussions Armstrong is referencing center on the Clarity Act and related negotiations happening on Capitol Hill. Among the key provisions under discussion are stablecoin rewards and protections for software developers.

Armstrong acknowledged that the process has involved compromises. He noted concessions made to satisfy the demands of the bank lobby and Senate negotiators regarding stablecoin activity.

Coinbase views clear regulation as the key that unlocks expansion into payments, tokenization, and prediction markets. Armstrong has separately expressed a long-term bullish outlook on Bitcoin, predicting it could reach $1 million by 2030. He cites Bitcoin’s fixed supply and rising demand as the fundamental drivers. Regulatory clarity, in his view, would accelerate that demand curve by removing the legal uncertainty that keeps institutional capital and sovereign wealth funds on the sidelines.

Perpetual futures are derivative contracts that allow traders to speculate on the price of an asset without an expiration date. Unlike traditional futures, they use a funding rate mechanism to keep the contract price aligned with the spot market. Coinbase’s move to offer these contracts on individual stocks, rather than cryptocurrencies, marks a notable expansion of its derivatives platform into traditional equity markets.

The selected companies represent different layers of the AI supply chain. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is the world’s largest contract chipmaker, producing advanced processors used in AI training and inference. Cerebras Systems designs specialized wafer-scale chips for AI workloads. Nebius Group provides cloud infrastructure and computing services, while Bloom Energy manufactures fuel cells that can power data centers.

Timeline and Availability

Coinbase stated that trading will commence on May 18 only if liquidity conditions are met. The products will be available to both retail and institutional investors in supported jurisdictions.
