Galaxy Digital to manage Sharplink’s new $125 million onchain yield play
Galaxy Digital (GLXY) and Sharplink (SBET) are teaming up to put part of the latter’s staked $ETH treasury into decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies.

The Galaxy Sharplink Onchain Yield Fund would receive $100 million from Sharplink’s staked $ETH treasury and $25 million from Galaxy, the companies said.

Galaxy is set to manage the investment, which is expected to commence in the coming weeks under a non-binding memorandum of understanding.

The strategy will see capital deployed across DeFi liquidity protocols and other onchain yield strategies. The structure is designed to keep Sharplink’s core $ETH exposure intact while adding an active yield strategy to its balance sheet.

MARA Holdings (MARA) is still producing bitcoin , but it is getting harder to argue that mining is its core business.

In its first-quarter earnings statement, the company said it does not expect to make large-scale purchases of the specialist ASIC machines used in the process. Historically, big purchases have been the easiest way to read a miner’s growth plans. Less appetite for new machines means less emphasis on expanding pure mining capacity.

Instead, its power strategy is increasingly aimed at AI and high-performance computing. The company wants to place new infrastructure alongside existing mining operations, allowing it to generate bitcoin revenue while keeping the option to redirect power toward AI and critical IT loads as demand matures.

Around 90% of MARA’s non-hosted mining capacity could eventually be used for AI and IT infrastructure, the company said.

First-quarter revenue fell 18% from a year earlier to $174.6 million, the company said Monday. Its net loss widened to $1.3 billion, largely tied to unrealized losses on its 38,689 bitcoin. The largest cryptocurrency fell 17% in the 12-month period.

MARA said it sold $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin during the quarter to improve liquidity and retire debt. That includes a $1.1 billion sale near quarter-end to fund a convertible note repurchase. As a result, MARA dropped two places to become the fourth-largest publicly traded holder of bitcoin, according to Bitcoin Treasuries data cited in the filing notes.

Public miners spent much of the last cycle being valued partly on how much bitcoin they could mine and keep. MARA is now showing a different priority, using bitcoin as balance-sheet ammunition when needed.

The strategy shift is already backed by deals. MARA has a partnership with Starwood Capital and agreed to buy Long Ridge Energy & Power, a gas-fired power plant and data center campus in Ohio, in a $1.5 billion transaction. The company says the site could eventually support more than 600 me

Solana ETFs saw robust trading interest, with the total cumulative net inflows reaching above $1.08 billion as of May 11. The daily inflows were $26.57 million and the total value of trades was about $104 million during the previous trading session. Bitwise’s inflows accounted for the largest amount of the incoming funds for the day, totaling more than $21 million. Meanwhile, Fidelity’s FSOL and Grayscale’s GSOL also saw positive inflows. As market sentiment continued to improve on Solana, the demand grew with the increasing interest among institutions.

Is Solana Price Preparing for a Breakout Above $100?
As of the time of reporting, the SOL price traded at $94.87 after slipping nearly 1.2% during the latest session. 

The RSI was still at around 55, indicating a state of moderate buying control. The MACD indicator has begun to show weakness, having had a bullish crossover in the beginning of this month.

The initial resistance is located close to $95 and $100. If the price moves above $100, it will further bullish momentum to the next major target at $105 or higher. If the market continues to rally, the full Solana forecast report may break through the $108 resistance area.The negative side is that SOL is under the watch of the crucial support at $92.
