Alephium token bridge exploited for $815K as hackers mint millions of unbacked ALPHHackers have drained approximately $815,000 from Alephium’s Token Bridge on Ethereum. They minted 13.76 million wrapped ALPH tokens from forged transactions, prompting the project to warn liquidity providers to pull their funds immediately.

This exploit adds to the increasing number of bridge attacks that have occurred in May. The Verus-Ethereum bridge lost around $11.5 million in an attack on May 18, while Cryptopolitan reported earlier on May 30 that Gravity Bridge lost $5.4 million, the same day Alephium’s TokenBridge suffered an exploit.

Vietnam Proposes Allowing SMEs to Use Digital Assets as Loan Collateral

In a significant move to boost credit access for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance has proposed a draft revised Law on Support for SMEs. The new proposal suggests allowing businesses to utilize digital assets, virtual assets, and intellectual property as collateral for securing bank loans. This policy shift aims to address the long-standing challenges tech startups and smaller businesses face due to a lack of traditional physical assets like land or real estate.

Currently, SMEs and household businesses constitute over 98% of all enterprises in Vietnam, yet they only receive about 20% of the total bank credit in the economy. The Ministry of Finance attributes this imbalance to strict collateral requirements, limited financial transparency, and small capital bases. Under the proposed framework, credit institutions would be encouraged to expand lending based on business plans, credit ratings, cash flows, and future-formed assets rather than relying solely on fixed physical property.



The draft law, which is currently open for public consultation, also outlines broader incentives for sustainable development. Businesses focusing on green projects, the circular economy, and energy-saving initiatives may receive preferential access to credit guarantees, interest-rate support, and tax incentives. Vietnam remains one of the fastest-growing crypto markets globally, ranking fourth in the 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index, and is reportedly aiming to launch its first regulated crypto market activity later this year.

Shiba Inu layer 2 blockchain Shibarium saw a sudden burst of activity, which was quickly followed by a drop, and then a sharp rise followed by another drop, forming an 'M' pattern on the daily transaction chart, according to Shibariumscan data.Shibarium daily transactions rose from 732 on May 23 to 7,220 on May 26, a significant increase. But this could not translate into a sustained rise, as it was followed by a drop.

Despite the erratic nature of the transaction increase, one positive aspect that cannot be dismissed is that activity on Shibarium is picking up after a period of quiet. Daily transaction count on Shibarium remained largely below 1,000 from late April, with the recent increase being significant.
