Monthly Rebound of 70%, 3 Institutions Filed for ETFs: Deconstructing the Data Truth Behind INJ's Surge

The cryptocurrency INJ has surged approximately 70% over the past month, with a 23% spike on October 16th. This rally is largely driven by a strategic shift towards institutional compliance and real-world asset (RWA) integration. Injective's CEO recently held high-level meetings in Washington D.C. with officials from the White House, SEC, and CFTC. This follows a series of significant developments: the project's entity secured a crucial SEC-registered Transfer Agent license in August, three major institutions (21Shares, Canary Capital, REX-Osprey) filed for INJ spot and staking ETFs with the SEC, and Canadian mortgage giant Pineapple Financial (now Pentiv) announced plans to tokenize $10 billion in real estate loans on the Injective chain. A key governance proposal (IIP-709) also aims to implement fixed gas fees for exchange operations, appealing to institutional market makers. While the project highlights a leading "Protocol Revenue/FDV" ratio (0.95) as a sign of being undervalued, analysis reveals this stems more from INJ's market cap collapsing over 85% from its peak, rather than exceptionally high revenue. Its annual on-chain protocol revenue is roughly $6 million, far below giants like Ethereum or Solana. Furthermore, despite a buyback-and-burn mechanism, the Proof-of-Stake chain's inflationary token issuance may outpace the deflationary impact. The surge appears to be a classic "old coin, new narrative" play: leveraging a small, oversold market cap with a compelling story of regulatory progress and institutional adoption. The short-term momentum may continue, but investors are advised to monitor on-chain metrics like holdings and whale activity, as the fundamental revenue picture remains relatively modest.

Bitcoin Price Maintains October Gains After Two Surges Above $86,000

Bitcoin's price is holding onto its October gains after twice surpassing the $86,000 mark. The surge appears driven by momentum from a key statement by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) regarding cryptocurrency regulation. This followed an SEC proposal days earlier that would allow advisors and regulated funds to hold crypto assets. Price charts show Bitcoin's recovery to $86,000 began immediately after a Monday sell-off that briefly pushed its price below $85,000. From that point, the cryptocurrency initiated two waves of growth, culminating in a session high of $86,046.

XRP Treasury Evernorth's Shares Soared 273%: What's Happening Ahead of Nasdaq Listing

Evernorth, the company building the largest public XRP treasury, is set to list on Nasdaq as Armada Acquisition Corp. II shareholders approved the merger. The stock (ticker: XRPN) of the SPAC surged by approximately 273% in four trading sessions ahead of the deal's expected closing on October 7, 2026, with trading starting October 8. Upon listing, Evernorth aims to hold roughly 473 million XRP on its balance sheet, valued at around $710-714 million with XRP at $1.50. The deal involves approximately $300 million in gross proceeds. This listing will provide a traditional stock market avenue for exposure to XRP, though the article clarifies the company's shares represent more than just the underlying crypto assets. The recent sharp price increase is partly attributed to the SPAC structure, where a large portion of the trust's cash may have been redeemed, potentially making the remaining shares more volatile. Analysis reveals that some of Evernorth's existing XRP was purchased at a higher average price, indicating the treasury does not guarantee shareholder profits. The key test post-listing will be the market's valuation of XRPN relative to the net asset value of its XRP holdings—whether it trades at a premium or discount. While the listing itself does not automatically trigger massive new XRP purchases, it could create future demand if Evernorth raises more capital to buy the cryptocurrency. The focus now shifts to the sustainability of the current valuation once regular trading begins.

Unexpected explosive surge in Cardano's price: ADA rises 11% in one day! What's behind it?

Cardano's native token, ADA, surged by approximately 11% in a single day, significantly outperforming a generally calm broader crypto market. During this rally, ADA's price jumped above $0.27, reaching one of its highest levels in recent months. This contrasts with modest gains of around 1% for Bitcoin and 1.3% for XRP. While no confirmed new announcements explain the surge, market data suggests the movement may be driven by a technical breakout following recent developments such as RealFi initiatives, institutional partnerships, and positive expectations surrounding the Cardano ecosystem.

Bitcoin Price Gives Up Gains After Brief Surge to $85,500

The price of Bitcoin briefly surged to $85,500 on Wednesday before a sell-off nearly erased the entire gain. Heading into the final hours of September, the cryptocurrency was trading only marginally higher. The spike appeared to be triggered by the release of US inflation data, which indicated a slower-than-expected price increase for August. Leading up to the morning surge, Bitcoin's price had been fluctuating between $83,000 and $83,500 on the daily chart. This continued a trend established after a drop to $82,555 on Monday. Despite several attempts to breach the $83,500 resistance level on Tuesday afternoon and in the early hours of September 30th, bearish pressure consistently pushed the price back below that threshold.

Bitcoin Price Surges Past $85,000 as Bulls Re-enter the Fray

Bitcoin's price rebounded from its local low of $82,555 on September 28, holding just below $85,000. This followed a sharp pullback from $87,272 on September 23-24 and subsequent consolidation between $84,000 and $85,000. Current intraday support is identified at $82,555-$83,000, with the nearest resistance at $85,500-$86,200. A sustained breakout above this resistance could target September's highs near $87,300, while a break below the $82,555 support level would invalidate the current recovery thesis.
