Согласно сообщению, за четыре года проект накопил в казначействе $4 млн в ETH (включая «обернутую» версию WETH) и ~652 000 USDC.

В совокупности Ronin Treasury располагает активами на сумму около $5,3 млн, из которой только ~$78 500 приходится на RON. Средства накоплены за счет отчислений с комиссий DEX Katana и маркетплейса Ronin Market, а также со сборов сервиса RNS.

В рамках объявленного байбека казначейство в течение месяца с 29 сентября обменяет через сторонних маркетмейкеров все ETH и USDC из резервов на нативный токен Ronin.

Поможет ли байбек?

В августе проект анонсировал перенос задействованного в Web3-игре Axie Infinity сайдчейна обратно на Ethereum в качестве полноценной сети второго уровня. Команда задействует для построения L2-решения инструменты OP Stack. Протокол отделился от блокчейна второй по капитализации криптовалюты из-за низкой пропускной способности и высоких комиссий в 2021 году.

«Ronin тратит последние средства казны на выкуп 1,3% собственных токенов и будет полагаться на гранты Optimism для дальнейшего развития. Похоже, ключевые условия их сделки теперь ясны», — с сарказмом прокомментировал байбек один из комментаторов.

Sixty-nine investment institutions have participated, but none have made concentrated bets, reflecting uncertainty about viable business models. Over half of these funded companies are less than a year old, most are at pre-A or A rounds, and profitability remains largely unproven.
