Криптовалюты Dogecoin (DOGE) и Litecoin (LTC), функционирующие на базе протокола PoW, как оказалось, майнить в три раза выгоднее, чем биткоины.

Американская компания BIT Mining раньше добывала только BTC, но в этом году решила начать майнить как биткоины, так и DOGE и LTC. К 27 ноября фирма заработала Dogecoin стоимостью $94,8 млн и Litecoin на сумму $10,7 млн, а также неизвестное количество BTC. По словам сотрудников предприятия, переход на майнинг трёх цифровых активов позволил увеличить прибыль почти втрое.

По состоянию на конец 2023-го вычислительная мощность оборудования BIT Mining для добычи биткоинов составляла 3,16 петахеш в секунду.
