В следственных действиях принимают участие оперативные сотрудники Федеральной службы безопасности (ФСБ) и Управления уголовного розыска. Заказчиком обысков назван отдел по расследованию особо важных дел Следственного комитета Москвы.

Дела были возбуждены по трем статьям Уголовного кодекса РФ: 210 (организация преступного сообщества), 172 (незаконная банковская деятельность), 187 (неправомерный оборот средств платежей). В материалах речь идет о сделках с криптовалютой.

По информации издания 78.ru, один из организаторов обменников проживает в Приморском районе Петербурга — в поселке Лисий Нос. Обыски по этому адресу могут быть связаны с анонимным обменником Cryptex и проектом UAPS, в отношении которых менее недели назад были введены блокирующие санкции США.

В качестве подозреваемых выступают 90 человек, и как пишет портал Delta.News, один из них Сергей Иванов, известный также под фамилией Омельницкий. В отношении этого бизнесмена шесть дней назад были введены персональные санкции OFAC США (Управление по контролю над иностранными активами).

Ранее следственный отдел Налогового управления Нидерландов изъял сервера двух крупных сервисов обмена криптовалют, расположенных на территории страны. Речь об оборудовании бирж PM2BTC и Cryptex, которые власти связывают с россиянином Сергеем Ивановым.
