CNN has revealed that black Americans are more strongly affected by the FTX bankruptcy than whites, with the SBF and FTX bankruptcies leading to the erasure of many personal crypto assets, and the impact is particularly strong among communities of colour. According to a study by Carlson Financial Services, Black Americans are more likely to invest in cryptocurrencies than White Americans, and the Pew Research Center also found that Black, Asian and Latino Americans are more likely to own or trade in cryptocurrencies than White Americans, thus causing Blacks to be one of the groups hit hardest by the cryptocurrency implosion and to face greater financial risk.
