Hyperliquid Sees $32,898,942 HYPE Whale Transfer as Price FallsThis follows an increase in Hyperliquid staking activity by crypto whales or large holders.. Blockchain data tracker Whale Alert recently reported the transfer of 557,902 HYPE tokens valued at $32,898,942 within the last 24 hours.Whale Alert reported that 557,902 HYPE worth $32,898,942 was transferred from an unknown wallet to HyperCore, the core trading infrastructure of the Hyperliquid blockchain.HyperCore is the native financial and trading execution engine for the Hyperliquid Layer 1 blockchain, running fully on-chain spot and perpetual order books.

While details about the intent of the transaction were scant per Whale Alert's reporting, on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain reported a similar move, which might provide further detailsLookonchain reported that a whale received 557,902 HYPE from FalconX and deposited it into Hyperliquid for staking. Going by this, the reason why the 557,902 HYPE might have been moved to the HyperCore platform was to stake it.

This follows an increase in staking activity by whales or large holders. On July 24, Lookonchain reported a whale who staked 2.93 million HYPE worth $172 million. Within 24 hours, 19 wallets (likely belonging to the same whale) deposited 2.93 million HYPE into Hyperliquid and staked it.

Samsung Wallet is getting native stablecoins - and it could make one token the default for 800M users

Some crypto investors raised an eyebrow this week when Samsung, in its official Galaxy Unpacked recap, said updates to Wallet "will also support stablecoins" and described the plan as native stablecoin capability on a smartphone.

Samsung's stablecoin roadmap opens a contest over which issuer and network could get the shortest path into Samsung Wallet.

Samsung offered no product specification beyond that sentence.

No issuer or token, blockchain, custody and redemption model, eligible markets, functions, or launch date are confirmed. Samsung introduced no new dedicated crypto wallet at Unpacked. Also, the Wallet product and some crypto connections already existed.

So why are people getting so excited? Product mechanics will decide the scale of the distribution effect. A native flow for holding, sending, receiving, or paying could make Samsung Wallet a meaningful distribution surface for the selected stablecoin and rails.

A funding link, account view, or limited partner integration would extend Samsung's existing crypto access with a smaller effect on stablecoin payments. Samsung has announced neither version.

Crypto exchange BitMart to wind down trading platform by January 2027


BitMart will shut down its crypto trading platform through an orderly wind-down process after determining that current operating conditions, market circumstances and its long-term strategy no longer support continuing operations, the company said this week.

In a statement, the exchange said it will gradually stop accepting new users, suspend fiat and crypto deposits, prevent new futures positions and spot orders, and phase out copy trading, grid trading, API trading and other automated services beginning July 26, 2026.

Trading across spot and futures markets will cease on Aug. 26, while investment products including Earn, staking, lending and Launchpad will be retired separately. The exchange expects to officially cease platform operations on Jan. 31, 2027, although users will temporarily retain access to their accounts for withdrawals and historical records afterward.

Users are advised to withdraw assets as early as possible by completing KYC verification, closing open positions and submitting withdrawal requests before the Aug. 26 deadline.

The firm said withdrawals will remain available but may be subject to identity verification, blockchain risk analysis, Travel Rule compliance, sanctions screening and source-of-funds checks, with processing times potentially extended during periods of heavy demand.

Over this time, more than 10% of the circulating supply went into realized profits as BTC bounced off the mid-$50,000s to the $60,000s.However, at press time, the metric had retraced back to 55.2%Although previous recoveries in the bear markets were at least 64 percent, previous cycle highs occurred at approximately 69%, 64%, 83%, and 77%. Long-term holders are still accumulating, while short-term holders have continued to sell close to their cost basis with STH SOPR currently at 1.0.This combination suggests that the selling pressure is easing. However, Bitcoin still needs profitability to move through the 60% to 65% range before matching the stronger recovery structure seen in previous cycles.While overall profitability for Bitcoin still hasn’t reached levels experienced during prior recovery cycles, current whale trends suggest there is growing conviction below the surface.

As prices rebounded, investors were becoming profitable again after briefly falling into loss. Notably, holders of 100-1,000 BTC moved back into unrealized profit. That shift matters because investors who regain profitability often face a choice between realizing gains and continuing to hold.
