Chiliz Price Surges Following $CHZ’s MoU With Japanese Football Club


Chiliz recorded a slight gain over the past 24 hours, and rose 1.65% to trade at $0.0374. The move came in even as Bitcoin declined by 0.83% during the same period.

One of the primary reasons for the surge could be attributed to Chiliz’s MoU with Tokyo Verdy, which is one of Japan’s most decorated football clubs.

Notably the trading volume for Chiliz has dropped sharply by around 36% over the past day. This suggests that the price increase lacked strong participation. Lower volume for a crypto often means weaker conviction among buyers. Consequently, the surge may struggle to hold without fresh demand entering the market.

From a technical standpoint, Chiliz remains under pressure. The crypto continues to trade below key moving averages, which implies a broader bearish structure. The recent gain has not changed this condition. It only represents a small bounce within a larger downtrend.

The immediate level to watch is the pivot support near $0.0355. At this level, it functioned as a short-term floor over the past few sessions. Holding above it could push the price towards the next resistance. The 7-day simple moving average, which is located around $0.0378, is the first target on the upside. But a fall below the $0.0355 level could add more losses. If that’s the case, the price may inch closer to its yearly low. This makes the current range crucial for short-term direction.

Market sentiment around Chiliz also remains neutral. Social or investor interest hasn’t changed much. In the absence of a strong narrative or catalyst, crypto price movements will probably be limited. The token continues to depend on global market conditions and technical factors.

Crypto fund manager probed in the suspicious death of his fiancé’s death in Zanzibar



Joe McCann, founder of crypto investment firm Asymmetric, is being probed by authorities in Tanzania, following the the alleged death by suicide of his fiancé, U.S. influencer Ashly Robinson, during a trip to Zanzibar.

Robinson, 31, a Miami-based lifestyle creator also known as Ashlee Jenae, was found unresponsive on April 9 in a private villa at luxury resort Zuri Zanzibar, where the couple had been celebrating her birthday and recent engagement. She was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

According to an NBC News report, Zanzibar police investigating the death of Robinson confirmed she died by suicide following a “misunderstanding” between the couple.

Police confirmed the couple had been involved in a heated dispute before being separated twice by hotel staff and sent to separate rooms. However, police said Robinson’s death is still being investigated and have therefore withheld McCann’s passport, according to the news outlet.

Police have questioned McCann and have asked him to remain in the country while they receive the forensic results from Ashly’s autopsy.

The hotel said it was "deeply saddened" by what happened. "Our sincerest thoughts and sympathies go out to the family and loved ones during this painful time. We are providing our full cooperation to the local authorities and the U.S. Embassy," the hotel said in a statement.

Robinson’s family, who said they doubt she died by suicide, have set up a GoFund Me page seeking to raise $50,000 to help with travel costs, arrangements and other unexpected expenses, they said. They have raised more than their target.

The S&P 500 finished up 0.8% and the Nasdaq 100 gained 1.4%, both all-time highs, capping a two-week rally from late March lows.

Ether led major tokens, up 8.1% on the week to $2,360, extending the outperformance against bitcoin that emerged earlier this week. XRP gained 3.6% to $1.41, dogecoin rose 4.8% to $0.098, and solana added 2.2% to $85.

The equity rally is running ahead of what other markets are willing to confirm. Long-end Treasury yields barely moved. Gold held near $4,800. Brent crude ticked up to $95 as the U.S. pressed ahead with a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which remains effectively closed.

"Stocks are basically expressing their view that the war in the Persian Gulf is all but over," Steve Sosnick, chief strategist at Interactive Brokers,

Naturally, some traders are now wondering whether AVAX could follow a similar path and reclaim the $20 level.
Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan has also highlighted Avalanche’s growing role as a platform for real-world applications, enterprise adoption, and institutional use cases—adding long-term credibility to the narrative.
Still, the macro backdrop is very different this time. High interest rates continue to pressure risk assets, reducing liquidity and investor appetite for speculative plays. At the same time, ongoing geopolitical tensions are keeping global markets risk-averse.
In this environment, even strong fundamentals and ETF headlines may not be enough to trigger a sustained breakout.
Bottom line:
The BAVA ETF is a positive structural development, but AVAX’s path to $20 will likely depend more on macro conditions and liquidity cycles than on ETF hype alone.
