Social NFT marketplace Rodeo has confirmed plans to shut down operations as pressure continues across the NFT sector. The closure follows Nifty Gateway’s recent shutdown announcement. Rodeo launched on Apple’s iOS store in March last year and targeted mainstream users. However, weak market conditions and slow growth forced the platform to exit.

The decision reflects broader stress across NFT marketplaces since the 2022 market crash. Trading activity has remained low despite brief price spikes. As a result, several platforms now struggle to sustain daily operations. Rodeo now joins a growing list of projects leaving the market.

Rodeo Fails to Reach Sustainable Scale

Rodeo entered the market with a social-focused NFT collecting model. The platform emphasized community interaction over pure trading. It encouraged creators and collectors to engage through posting and discovery. In addition, Rodeo simplified complex blockchain processes for non-crypto users.

On January 21, 2026, Saga resolved a security vulnerability affecting the SagaEVM chain.

The Saga EVM chain security vulnerability arose from a series of contract deployments, operations between blockchain networks via smart contracts, and ultimately, the withdrawal of funds from these smart contracts.

Due to the severity of this incident, we have suspended blockchain activity at block height 6593800 until we have thoroughly investigated and addressed the issue.

Saga's earlier statement:

It discovered a security issue on the SagaEVM chain. The project is currently suspended, and our engineering team is working to fix these issues. The security team has completed all phases of the remediation process.


What we are currently doing:

Continuing to suspend the supply chain while implementing mitigation measures to prevent further impact.

Verifying the entire "blast radius" using archival data and execution traces.

Strengthening affected components before resuming operation.

Only releasing confirmed facts.


 We understand the inconvenience caused by the service suspension. However, we believe it is a necessary measure to protect the security of our community.

We will provide a full technical post-incident analysis report once all remedial measures are completed.

Affected - SagaEVM Chainwheel - Colt and Mustang

Unaffected - SSC Mainnet (still running) - Saga Protocol Consensus - Validator Protection - Other Saga Chains

Impact

Approximately $7 million worth of USDC, yUSD, ETH, and tBTC were withdrawn to the Ethereum mainnet.

The attacker's wallet address is 0x2044697623afa31459642708c83f04ecef8c6ecb. We are working with bridges and exchanges to blacklist this wallet and recover the stolen tokens.

There were no consensus failures, validator breaches, or signer key leaks.

Anthropic targets $20B raise at $350B valuation as investor demand surges


Anthropic is set to raise about $20 billion from venture capital firms and other investors, double its initial target, as demand to back the artificial intelligence startup surged, according to a Financial Times report.


The fundraising round, which is close to being finalized, would value Anthropic at roughly $350 billion, positioning it among the most valuable private technology companies globally.


The increase from the original $10 billion target reflects investor demand estimated at five to six times the initial raise. Anthropic is expected to secure an initial $10 billion to $15 billion as early as Tuesday, with the remainder of the round completed in the coming weeks.


Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC and US investor Coatue are leading the deal, with Sequoia Capital also participating. Existing backers including Iconiq Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, G Squared, and Factorial Funds are expected to join the round.


In parallel with the financial raise, Microsoft and Nvidia have committed up to an additional $15 billion in strategic investment.


The fundraising talks come as Anthropic prepares for a potential initial public offering that could take place as soon as this year.


Anthropic has emerged as a leading developer of AI systems, with strong enterprise adoption driven by its focus on business customers and the growing popularity of its Claude Code tool.


The company was co-founded by chief executive Dario Amodei after his departure from OpenAI in 2020 following disagreements over AI governance and safety.
