This decision affects several prominent directors, including venture capitalist Marc Andreessen and CEO Brian Armstrong, who collectively sold more than $2.9 billion worth of stock during the company's direct listing in April 2021.

According to Bloomberg Law, Judge Catherine St. J. McCormick allowed the case to continue due to a conflict involving a committee member, but she acknowledged that the internal investigation "painted a compelling narrative" in support of the directors' defense.

 The lawsuit, filed in 2023 by shareholder Adam Grabski, alleges that when Coinbase went public without traditional lock-up restrictions, directors used confidential valuation information to sell shares, preventing losses exceeding $1 billion.

Independence concerns undermine internal review.

The special litigation committee consists of two Coinbase board members: former Cisco Systems CFO Kelly Kramer and Silicon Valley angel investor Gokul Rajaram.

Neither was named as a defendant, nor did they sell shares during the direct listing. However, McCormick argues that the substantial business relationship between Rajaram and Andreessen Horowitz constitutes an unqualified conflict of interest.

由此可见，XRP无需赢得人气竞赛，也无需持续的炒作或乐观情绪来发挥其作用。 当系统需要发挥其设计初衷——高效、中立且大规模的结算——时，它的机会就来了。

AsterDex activates strategic reserve buyback fund

Following ASTER’s recent low, AsterDex activated the Strategic Reserve Buyback Fund. Under the program, daily platform fees and the remaining funds will be allocated directly to targeted buybacks.

In doing so, the team aimed to support the token’s long-term value while also offering incentives to ASTER holders. In fact, AsterDEX has aggressively repurchased tokens over the past four months to absorb market pressure.

As a result, the team purchased 248.08 million ASTER tokens, valued at $137 million, representing 1.6% of the circulating supply excluding burns.

During the ongoing season 5, they purchased 38 million ASTER for $24 million. Over the past 24 hours, the team bought 2.9 million ASTER for $1.6 million.

The continued buyback, especially during a period of extreme market stress, demonstrates the team’s commitment to the projects and long-term conviction.

Yield trading platform Pendle debuts new token to boost user capital efficiencyPendle, a DeFi protocol that allows trading future returns from interest-bearing tokens, is changing its design to unlock capital efficiency for users.


Traditionally, Pendle users deposited yield-bearing tokens like staked ether (stETH) into the protocol. Tokens like ETH generate built-in yield from staking, a process of locking coins in a blockchain address to secure the network in exchange for rewards. stETH is the staked version of ether.


In return, Pendle users received vePENDLE, which represented their stake and voting rights to earn extra perks on top of their locked coins' natural earnings. The coins deposited kept paying their regular yield, with vePENDLE sprinkling bonus rewards without touching the principal.


The catch: once locked, those tokens were inaccessible, creating capital inefficiency.


Now, Pendle has launched sPENDLE – a liquid version of those locked tokens. Users can trade or use sPENDLE freely while still collecting the original rewards.


The change removes the need for users to lock up tokens for years just to earn rewards or participate in governance. Instead, holders will be able to stay liquid, access their funds within days, and still earn protocol rewards — a shift aimed at making Pendle easier to use and more attractive to a wider set of investors.


Under the new model, vePENDLE’s multi-year lockups will be phased out in favor of sPENDLE, which carries a 14-day withdrawal period and can be freely used across decentralized finance applications.


In simple terms, original crypto deposits keep earning base yields, while sPENDLE frees the locked portion, turning "stuck money" into flexible capital for other trades or DeFi plays.
