On April 14th, Bitcoin ETFs recorded inflows exceeding $400 million, reversing previous outflows and indicating renewed investor confidence in BTC.

Data from April 14th shows total inflows exceeding $400 million, compared to nearly $300 million in outflows the previous trading day.


BlackRock made a significant contribution through its IBIT fund, which continues to attract substantial amounts of capital, while Fidelity and ARK Invest products also saw steady inflows.

This reversal occurred after a series of sell-offs in late March and early April, suggesting that investors are gradually regaining confidence in the short-term prospects of this leading digital asset.


Ethereum is starting to catch up.

In parallel with Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs also showed an improving trend, albeit moderately, according to data from FarSide Investors. The approximately $50 million net inflow that day indicates renewed market interest after a period of hesitation.


 The largest contributions came from products associated with Fidelity and BlackRock, indicating that institutional investors are beginning to diversify their investments beyond Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, the staking structure of some of these products remains a key factor attracting attention compared to traditional Bitcoin ETFs.

Limited Interest in Alternative Assets

While Bitcoin and Ethereum dominated ETF flows, other crypto assets have not garnered sufficient attention from institutional investors. The Solana ETF saw negligible flows, with net inflows near zero, indicating a lack of compelling catalysts.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has downgraded its global growth outlook, citing a surge in energy prices driven by ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The update comes as finance officials gather in Washington for the IMF and World Bank spring meetings, where markets and policymakers are reassessing global risks.
The IMF outlined three possible scenarios depending on how the conflict evolves. In its baseline case, the fund assumes a relatively short-lived disruption, with oil prices stabilizing around $82 per barrel by mid-2026, allowing global growth to remain broadly steady.
However, IMF Chief Economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas warned that this outlook may already be outdated, suggesting the world economy is edging closer to a more “adverse scenario.” In this case, prolonged conflict keeps oil prices near $100 per barrel, dragging global growth down to around 2.5% in 2026 — near recessionary levels.
The most severe scenario paints a starker picture. If tensions escalate further, oil prices could rise to $110 in 2026 and $125 in 2027, pushing global growth down to just 2.0% and lifting inflation above 6%. Such conditions could force central banks to re-tighten monetary policy after a period of easing.
Emerging markets and developing economies would bear the brunt of the shock, with several Middle Eastern countries facing sharp economic contractions. Iran, Qatar, and Iraq are projected to be among the hardest hit. In contrast, India stands out as a relative outperformer, with growth forecasts raised to 6.5% for 2026 and 2027.
The United States sees only a modest downgrade, supported by AI investment, tax cuts, and easing financial conditions, while Europe and Japan continue to face more persistent growth headwinds.
The IMF also urged governments to avoid broad fuel subsidies, recommending targeted and temporary measures instead to protect vulnerable populations without undermining fiscal stability.

Bitcoin ‘Risk Index’ Hits Zero, Has Selling Pressure Finally Exhausted?

The Bitcoin Risk Index just hit zero, “a full low-risk regime,” reported Swissblock on Tuesday. The metric is a proprietary indicator that gauges the overall risk level in the Bitcoin market. It essentially measures the relative balance between selling and buying pressure, and how “risky” it is to hold or buy $BTC.

Swissblock noted that it signals reduced selling pressure, a completion of the bottoming phase (but not yet expansion), and “stabilization inside the low-risk regime.”

“Historically, these zones mark where selling pressure is fully exhausted and bullish structure can begin to rebuild.”

Bitcoin at Bear Market Resistance

CryptoQuant analyst ‘Darkfost’ observed that Bitcoin’s Coin Days Destroyed (CDD) metric has “collapsed,” which signals reduced long-term holder activity.

“After a prolonged period during which LTHs were significantly more active on Bitcoin, their behavior now appears to be shifting,” they said.

While this may sound ominous, it could signal units being moved into quantum-secure custody and is also a sign of reduced selling pressure.

“When CDD declines to this extent, it still indicates that selling pressure is decreasing.”

Meanwhile, CryptoQuant research head Julio Moreno noted that the price of Bitcoin is approaching a major bear market resistance – the traders’ on-chain Realized Price, currently at $76,800.

Alphractal reported something similar, stating that Bitcoin is approaching key on-chain cost resistance levels, including the True Market Mean Price and the short-term holder Realized Price.

“It is important to monitor this region, as historically these levels have acted as resistance during bear market phases.”
