Asia signaled cold feet among investors as major tech stocks saw blanket selling, leading to significant overall downside.

South Korea’s Composite index was down 10% at the time of writing, while the Japanese Nikkei 225 shed nearly 4%.

The reversal soured a conspicuous liquidity surge for both Korea and Taiwan, with trading resource The Kobeissi Letter reporting “unprecedented inflows” to both.

“Total equity fund inflows into Taiwan have risen to +155% of assets under management (AUM) since January 2024, the largest among all global markets. South Korea has followed closely, at +150% of AUM over the same period, tripling so far in 2026,” it wrote in a post on X on Monday.

$BTC price action remained sensitive to the volatility with a failed push beyond $65,500 the day prior.

“$BTC took 65K liquidity and dumped,” trader Lennaert Snyder responded on X.

Snyder suggested that a long entry was now at $60,000 and was waiting for “new lows” to appear next.

If you’re wondering just how much lower bitcoin BTC$62,272.98 is likely to drop, the answer, at least according to one historically accurate contrarian indicator, is not much.

That's the conclusion from an indicator that might seem to signal a bearish shift in sentiment but has tended to presage a more bullish outlook.

The indicator is based on two moving averages: Bitcoin’s 50-week simple moving average (SMA) and the 100-week average. The 50-week average, representing roughly one year, is very close to dropping below the 100-week line. A shorter-term measure is often seen as a more accurate reflection of recent attitudes, so the cross would trigger what analysts call a "bear cross." At current trajectories, it could happen as soon as next week.

While that might sound scary to bulls, it is potentially positive news.

There have been three such bear crosses in bitcoin's history, and each marked a market bottom, signaling the end of a decline and the beginning of a three-year rally. The impending cross, therefore, suggests the bear market has nearly run its course and the bottom is near.

Critics would argue that three past instances aren't enough to draw a definite conclusion. While that is true, the contrarian record of the bear cross is consistent with the reputation of ultra-long-duration moving averages as "lagging" indicators.

Telegram reached 1 billion monthly active users in March 2025, marking a 2,757% increase from 35 million users at launch in 2014. From a Banned Token to a Billion-User Blockchain
The story starts with a legal setback. The Open Network began life as the "Telegram Open Network," a Layer-1 blockchain unveiled by Telegram's founders in 2018 to extend the app beyond messaging. After the SEC challenged Telegram's 2018 private token sale, a US court blocked distribution of the original "Grams" token in 2020, and Telegram formally withdrew.

That separation proved temporary. Independent developers revived the codebase as "The Open Network," and a community-run TON Foundation brought the mainnet online while Telegram continued separately as a company.

The reunion happened in stages. In January 2025, the TON Foundation announced that TON became the exclusive blockchain infrastructure powering Telegram's Mini App ecosystem. Toncoin became the only cryptocurrency accepted for non-fiat payments for Telegram services, including Telegram Stars, Telegram Premium, Telegram Ads, and Telegram Gateway. Toncoin also became the only currency used to pay Mini App developers and channel owners for earned Stars and advertisement revenue.

Altura stablecoin vault positions now being unwound
Altura has notified counterparties and partners about the decision and started unwinding positions across the vault portfolio. Arora said those positions include allocations held on exchanges, private credit opportunities and real-world asset strategies.

Some positions can return capital quickly, while others need standard settlement and redemption periods. Arora said the team is working with counterparties to speed up the process where possible, and that capital will return to users as underlying positions are redeemed.
