Gate listed RLUSD on June 15, opening BTC/RLUSD, ETH/RLUSD, XRP/RLUSD, and RLUSD/ USDT spot trading. The launch gives users direct access to Ripple’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin against bitcoin, ether, XRP, and USDT.

Market access drew a separate statement from Ripple, the company behind RLUSD and a major developer in the XRP Ledger ecosystem. The company tied the XRP/RLUSD pair to broader use of stablecoin liquidity across trading and settlement.

Ripple wrote:Incentives and Withdrawal Plans Add Liquidity Around RLUSD Launch
A 750,000 RLUSD incentive program covers trading, liquidity, and user participation. The campaign includes CandyDrop rewards, VIP airdrops, staged withdrawal fee reductions, and KOL promotion campaigns.

Gate wrote:

“The overall incentive structure is centered around RLUSD trading against major assets including BTC, ETH, and XRP, aiming to encourage genuine trading demand and enhance market activity.”

Stablecoin-to- stablecoin trading sits outside the core incentive scope to reduce non-organic market activity. RLUSD withdrawals are expected to open June 16, 2026, subject to Gate’s asset page, with zero fees on one withdrawal of 20 RLUSD or more during the promotion.

Since its December 2024 launch, RLUSD has surpassed $1.6 billion in market capitalization, with use across payments, remittances, and institutional DeFi. The asset launched natively on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum, while later integrations, including Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers framework, broadened its multichain reach.

RLUSD’s rollout has also expanded beyond Gate. Recent source material cited broader exchange access, Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines work, Ripple Treasury with GTreasury, Wormhole’s Native Token

The decline suggests that some miners have reduced operations or temporarily exited the network, likely due to lower profitability, rising operational costs, and recent market volatility. Mining difficulty automatically adjusts to maintain Bitcoin’s average block production time, meaning lower network participation results in easier mining conditions for remaining operators.

While the drop may raise concerns about slowing mining activity, analysts note that difficulty adjustments are a normal part of Bitcoin’s self-regulating design and can help restore profitability for miners during challenging market conditions. The latest adjustment highlights how shifts in price, energy costs, and miner economics continue to influence the overall health and dynamics of the Bitcoin network.

Bitcoin holds below $65,000 as Warsh faces first FOMC test and Strategy concerns linger

Bitcoin trades below $65,000 as the Fed is widely expected to hold rates steady at 3.50%-3.75% in Kevin Warsh’s first meeting as chair, with inflation reportedly sitting near a three-year high.

Strategy’s STRC preferred shares closed at a fresh low of $91.79 on June 16, more than 8% below par, a signal Bitfinex says shows the corporate treasury bid behind bitcoin’s rally is weakening.

 traded below $65,000 on Wednesday as the Federal Reserve is widely expected to hold interest rates steady at 3.50% to 3.75% in Kevin Warsh's first meeting as Fed chair, with markets seeing little chance of a signal that cuts are imminent.

The foremost cryptocurrency was priced around $64,550, down nearly 2% on the day per The Block’s BTC price page, as investors stayed on the sidelines awaiting clarity on the U.S.-Iran agreement and the Fed's updated economic projections, due alongside the rate decision on Wednesday afternoon.

"The key takeaway from the Fed meeting is that the market is set to get stability, not a pivot," said Lacie Zhang, a research analyst at Bitget Wallet. She said the Fed has not yet validated a broader liquidity rally, even as the Iran ceasefire and lower oil prices removed one source of inflation pressure.

Zhang said energy normalization may matter more than Fed policy in the near term, with WTI crude easing into the $80 to $85 range.

She placed bitcoin's near-term range at $64,000 to $68,000 if oil stays contained and Fed messaging remains neutral, with a hawkish surprise from Warsh capable of sending bitcoin back to $62,000 to $63,000.

Can Bitcoin (BTC) Defend $68K? The Liquidity Zone Shaping the Short-Term Outlook

In the short term, $68K remains the critical level to monitor.

Bitcoin (BTC) is currently trading around $65K.

Bitcoin’s recent price action has shifted the liquidity landscape. During the decline below $60K, a significant amount of downside liquidity was absorbed as stop-loss orders and leveraged positions were cleared from the market. With the February low now swept, much of the immediate selling pressure beneath current prices has been addressed.

As a result, liquidity is increasingly concentrated at higher levels, making $68K the most crucial area to watch in the near term. On the downside, the $60K area still represents a notable support area. Traders are keeping an eye on the $74K and $78K levels in the future. If Bitcoin is able to regain higher ground and positive momentum keeps growing, these regions might become important targets.
