Uniswap jumps 22% and altcoins rip while bitcoin stalls before the Fed
Bitcoin is trading flat while the rest of the crypto market showing signs of a capital rotation.

The largest token traded around $65,800 on Wednesday, down 0.3% over 24 hours but up 7.4% on the week, per CoinDesk data, holding near $66,000 as traders waited on the Federal Reserve's first rate decision under new Chairman Kevin Warsh.

The action was in altcoins. Uniswap's UNI was the standout, jumping 22.5% to $3.53 after Standard Chartered initiated coverage with a $100 price target by 2030, with the bank's digital assets research head Geoffrey Kendrick calling the decentralized exchange a foundational layer of the on-chain economy.
Hyperliquid's HYPE rose 7.8% on the day and 34.3% on the week, and solana added 14.7% over seven days even while flat on Wednesday. Ether gained 1.4% to $1,793 and is up 10.4% on the week. XRP slipped 0.9% to $1.22.

The macro backdrop kept improving for risk assets, just not for bitcoin. Brent crude fell below $79 a barrel, its lowest in more than three months, after sliding 15% over four sessions in its longest losing run this year.

The drop reflects bets that the US-Iran deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz will unleash a wave of supply.

The agreement gives Iran the right to sell oil immediately and access to a $300 billion development fund, with the US Treasury set to issue waivers for Iranian crude and petrochemical exports once the memorandum is signed, in exchange for a commitment never to seek a nuclear weapon.
Bonds rallied, and benchmark Australian and Japanese 10-year yields slipped about five basis points, or hundredths of a percentage point. US stocks were softer, with the Nasdaq 100 down almost 2% on Tuesday as chipmakers pulled back, though S&P 500 futures edged up 0.2%.

That leaves the Fed. Cheaper oil eases the inflation picture just as Warsh takes

Binance Traders Just Pushed Bitcoin Futures to $800 Trillion

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost reports that Binance’s Bitcoin futures market has reached a staggering $800 trillion in cumulative trading volume. The surge came during Bitcoin’s sharp correction from last month’s high of $82,792 to below $60,000, as traders increasingly turned to leveraged futures bets rather than buying Bitcoin directly.

Bitcoin Selloff Triggered Rush Into Futures Trading
Since early May, Bitcoin has fallen sharply from $82,792 to a low of $59,109. But instead of rushing to buy Bitcoin in the spot market, traders turned to leveraged futures positions, betting on short-term price swings.

This can be seen through Binance’s cumulative Bitcoin futures volume, which climbed to $798.7 trillion by early June 2026. In comparison, Binance’s cumulative spot volume sits at only $87 billion over the same period.

The chart also shows several spikes in activity during the recent correction, with Binance’s daily futures volume reaching $39.5 billion on some days. 

Thus, Darkfost notes that Binance’s futures market has surged so rapidly that cumulative volume now exceeds the value of the global real estate market and the world’s annual GDP.

Bitcoin May Have Found Its Bottom
Interestingly, Darkfost believes this surge in trading activity may have helped Bitcoin form a local bottom. Similar behavior was seen in February, when Bitcoin briefly fell below $60,000, and Binance’s daily futures volume surged above $42.7 billion.

Bitcoin Seller Exhaustion? On-chain Data Signals Transition Toward Late-Stage Capitulation

Following a wave of selling pressure that pulled bitcoin ($BTC) below $60,000 two weeks ago, analysts have highlighted on-chain data that signals possible seller exhaustion, which is further substantiated by a reprieve in macroeconomic conditions.

According to analysts at crypto exchange Bitfinex, the market is witnessing a transition into late-stage capitulation rather than a broader distribution phase. This translates to constant selling pressure among previous buyers of $BTC, like exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and treasury companies.

Bitcoin Sellers Are Getting Exhausted

Recent bitcoin buyers aggressively turned into sellers after the asset’s price fell below $75,000. Since then, demand for the cryptocurrency has been completely agnostic to price. These buyers are now realizing losses at an accelerating pace, as evidenced by the $1.35 billion in daily realized losses in June’s first trading week.

As selling pressure persists, analysts added that the market is in a transitional phase that reflects a typical post-liquidation structure. This dynamic often appears once the primary wave of forced selling from distressed investor cohorts exhaust themselves.

Although current loss realization levels are enough to confirm deep bear conditions, they have not reached the intensity required to establish a definitive bottom. Market experts believe that demand levels will determine whether this consolidation transforms into a concrete support floor or acts as a temporary pause before a deeper plunge.

What the tape shows is seller exhaustion arriving at the same moment as a macro reprieve, which is a different condition from genuine demand. The price action that follows each behaves very differently, which leads us to believe that despite the short-term recovery, bulls face significant hurdles before an uptrend can form,” analysts explained
