Will JPX's index exclusion plans add pressure to Metaplanet stock's 86% drawdown?

Japan Exchange Group (JPX) is mulling blocking firms that park over 50% of their assets in crypto, reigniting fears for Metaplanet and other digital asset treasuries (DATs).

According to the local publisher Nikkei, the proposed guidelines would block new crypto treasuries that fall in the said category. Additionally, those already listed on JPX's Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) would be axed if the proposal is adopted.

Reportedly, JPX has sought feedback from stakeholders on the same. The move could complicate the scheduled listing of Metaplanet on TOPIX after the October 2026 reconstitution.

Looking at Q1, SOL was one of the bigger losers among high-cap altcoins, falling by nearly 35%. And yet, beneath the price weakness, its stablecoin market cap actually grew by around 5% – A sign of clear divergence between on-chain activity and market performance.

Backing that up, Solana’s on-chain signals are pointing to growing network usage too.

Total transaction volume on the network recently crossed 500 billion, well ahead of the next 13 blockchains combined, making it clear that Solana is still the go-to for on-chain activity. Unique addresses on the network have also been dominant, further proving that the ecosystem is active even if the price isn’t keeping up.

In short, when you compare network activity to market performance, Solana’s fundamentals remain strong. That kind of divergence usually points to undervaluation, hinting that SOL could be gearing up for a rebound.

The real story, though, is stablecoin flows. Naturally, the big question is – Could liquidity be the main FOMO trigger for SOL this cycle?

It has been another week of uncertain movements for the Bitcoin price, with the global financial markets moving to the whims of the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The premier cryptocurrency has struggled to stay afloat after hitting a roadblock at the $69,000 resistance level earlier in the week. The latest on-chain data has shown that the price of Bitcoin might be reaching a bottom already.

Is BTC Accumulation Period About To Resume?
In an April 3rd post on the social media platform X, Alphractal co-founder and CEO Joao Wedson revealed that Bitcoin is starting to become less overvalued. This on-chain observation is based on the RVTS (Realized Value/Transaction Volume) Ratio, which tracks the relationship between market capitalization and the network’s adjusted economic value.

According to Wedson, a rise in this metric’s value could imply a rise in the flagship cryptocurrency’s realized value. At the same time, an increasing RVTS Ratio can also be a signal of a decline in activity or transaction volume on the Bitcoin network.

Highlighting data from Alphractal, the crypto founder shared that the RVTS Ratio just reached its highest level ever, potentially pointing to the lowest network utilization in the history of the premier cryptocurrency.

Solana Price Prediction: SOL Holds $80, Downside Still Active

Solana is testing one of its most important short term levels while a broader chart still points to more downside risk. One setup shows buyers repeatedly defending the $80 zone, but another suggests that if this support fails, $SOL could face a much deeper drop.

Solana Chart Signals More Downside as Bearish Pattern Targets Lower Support Zone

A chart shared by X user Hardy showed Solana still under pressure after a failed recovery near the $91 to $99 resistance area. The chart marked a rising wedge style structure after February’s sharp drop, with price trading near $79 at the time of posting. That setup pointed to weakening momentum, especially as $SOL stayed below the upper resistance band and moved close to the lower boundary of the pattern.

Moreover, the chart projected a bearish path if that lower trendline breaks. The drawn scenario showed a brief bounce, followed by another rejection and a deeper move lower. In that case, the next major support zone appeared far below the current price, around the $45 area, while an even lower historical zone sat near $27 to $30. As a result, the chart suggested that Solana could face another leg down if buyers fail to defend the current structure.

At the same time, the broader trend on the chart remained negative. $SOL had already fallen sharply from levels above $200 before entering this narrow consolidation range. Because that pause came after a steep decline, the pattern looked more like a temporary base inside a downtrend than a confirmed reversal. Therefore, the chart’s message was clear: unless Solana reclaims the upper resistance zone with strength, downside risk remains in focus.
