The cryptocurrency is currently consolidating near a key long-term support level, and its market structure suggests it may be entering the final, most explosive phase of its cycle – the fifth wave. If the current support level holds, the convergence of these technical indicators points to a significant upward move.

Monthly chart analysis shows that Dogecoin is in a correction phase of an Elliott Wave cycle. After several previous upward waves and a period of consolidation in recent years, Dogecoin has found support on a long-term upward trendline. Historically, this level has often foreshadowed significant price increases. The current price stabilization at this support level, coupled with the potential entry into the fifth wave, suggests that Dogecoin is poised for a strong upward move, with a target price potentially reaching $1 or even higher.

Ether.fi whale dumped 3.6 million ETHFI for $1.5 million.

Ether.fi [ETHFI] has been in a steep downtrend since its rejection at $0.64 three weeks ago, falling to a low of $0.42.

At press time, ETHFI was trading below its MA ($0.44) and EMA ($0.45), underscoring strong bearish momentum. Amid this decline, investors, particularly whales, have largely capitulated, exiting their positions quickly.

After ETHFI climbed to $0.64 on the 21st of March, the altcoin experienced extreme profit-taking, and sellers took over the market. Since then, the altcoin has mostly recorded sell-side activity, as the Spot Taker CVD showed sell dominance for the past three weeks.

What is driving $DCR’s recent momentum?

Decred’s [$DCR] structure turned bullish over the past 24 hours, supported by strong momentum indicators.

The Aroon Indicator signaled an uptrend, with Aroon Up holding above Aroon Down during the recent move.

On top of that, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovered near 67 at press time. This indicated steady buying pressure without entering overbought territory.

That alignment showed buyers remained in control during the recent rally.

Can $DCR continue its breakout move?

$DCR broke out of a consolidation channel within a broader bull flag pattern formed over several weeks.

The breakout on the 10th of April confirmed renewed buying interest as the price moved higher. If momentum holds, $DCR could retest a level last seen 43 days ago.

However, resistance near $25 and $32 could slow the move. Traders may look to take profits at these levels.

Even so, the structure still favored continuation if buying pressure remains intact.

Why is spot demand still weak?

Despite the bullish setup, Spot market activity showed limited confirmation.

This raised concerns about sustainability, as sentiment-driven moves often struggle without strong Spot support. Having said that, narrative momentum could still support price action.

Immediate resistance stands near $85, followed by $88 and the critical $90 level. A decisive move above $90 could trigger momentum toward $95 and $100. Moreover, such a breakout would confirm a shift in short-term structure.

However, support at $82 and $80 remains essential to maintain the current trend. Many traders still expect a drop toward $40, reflecting lingering bearish sentiment.

Long-Term Accumulation Strategy Emerges

Meanwhile, analyst cryptokans outlines a broader accumulation plan focused on lower price zones. The analyst identifies the $50 to $60 range as a high-probability demand area. Additionally, historical price behavior supports the likelihood of liquidity sweeps into this zone.

Crypto markets slipped on Friday after Vice President JD Vance confirmed that direct US-Iran negotiations in Pakistan ended without an agreement, reviving fears of continued conflict and uncertainty in global markets.

Bitcoin dropped below $72,000, trading around $71,503 at time of writing, down 1.82% in 24 hours. Ethereum fell to $2,211, while XRP slipped to $1.32. The total crypto market cap sits at $2.43 trillion, down 1.54% on the day.

What Happened in Islamabad

The talks represented a historic moment. It was the first direct face-to-face meeting between US and Iranian officials since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. They lasted 21 hours and produced nothing.

The negotiations collapsed on two core issues. Iran refused to give up uranium enrichment and refused to relinquish control of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran also arrived with four conditions of its own: full sovereignty over the Strait, complete war reparations, unconditional release of frozen assets and a regional ceasefire including Lebanon.

The US came in asking for free passage through Hormuz and a commitment that Iran would never build a nuclear weapon.

The two sides never found common ground.

Vance was direct after leaving Islamabad. “Iran has chosen not to accept our terms. That is bad news for Iran much more than it is for the United States,” he said, adding that the US had left its final and best offer on the table.
