Aave ETH freeze concerns deepened this week after Aave LLC asked a U.S. court to release about $71 million in ETH recovered after the KelpDAO exploit. The motion comes as AAVE trades near $92.83, ETH holds around $2,361, and ARB sits near $0.1166, keeping the dispute inside a fragile DeFi market.

The funds, totaling 30,766 ETH, are subject to a restraining notice served on the Arbitrum DAO. Aave argues the assets should support users, not outside claims tied to older North Korea judgments.

XRP has returned above $1.40, giving bulls a reason to think that the cryptocurrency is now finding a footing after weeks of weak price action.

However, crypto analyst ChartNerd believes the current setup needs to be viewed with realistic caution. In a recent analysis and outlook he posted on X, he argued that XRP’s weekly chart is beginning to show bullish signals, but the larger timeframe has not yet confirmed that the correction is over.

XRP Weekly Chart Shows Signs Of Recovery
ChartNerd’s bullish case starts with the weekly chart, where he pointed to several technical signals that usually appear near important turning points. According to him, XRP’s weekly RSI has fallen into historical cycle-low territory, the weekly MACD has formed a bullish golden cross, and the price is still holding around the 200-week EMA. He also noted that the monthly 50 EMA is still acting as support.

These are all bullish signals that are positive on the weekly timeframe. For instance, a golden cross on the MACD usually suggests that downside momentum is weakening and that buyers are beginning to regain control.

The signals are important because the token has spent much of the past several months trying to build a base after a deep correction. The base seems to now be forming around $1.4, and this gives XRP bulls something to work with.

The Larger Timeframe Is Still Not Fully Bullish
The realistic stance for XRP is on the 3-month timeframe, which filters out short-term noise and reveals the main cycle structure.

An example is its 3-month RSI, which is currently around 54. This reading is notable because it is still above the cycle-low region around 47 seen in previous bearish structures before stronger rotations. In realistic historical terms, this means the broader reset may not yet be complete.

GENIUS Act in July. Western Union has launched its US dollar-denominated USDPT stablecoin on Solana, marking its first move into blockchain-based payments and onchain settlement for its global remittance network.
One of the crypto infrastructure platforms involved in the launch, Fireblocks, said on Monday that USDPT is initially being rolled out in Bolivia and the Philippines, while Western Union said it plans to expand the stablecoin to more than 40 countries in 2026.
Major remittance companies have been eyeing stablecoins after the passage of the stablecoin-friendly GENIUS Act in July.
MoneyGram started offering USDC (USDC) stablecoin services in Colombia in September, while Zelle announced plans to offer stablecoin-powered cross-border transfers in October.
Western Union said the "launch of USDPT reflects a broader shift in how global payments are evolving," adding that more financial institutions will adopt "regulated digital assets as core infrastructure going forward."
The stablecoin market cap currently sits at $317.3 billion, a figure that the US Department of the Treasury and Wall Street investment bank Citigroup have tipped to grow above $2 trillion by 2030.

Polymarket was banned by the Dutch Gaming Authority (Ksa) in February for operating without a gambling license. The Ksa warned that Polymarket’s ban applies to similar platforms. “Websites similar to Polymarket also fall under our supervision and can therefore be sanctioned by us,” a spokesperson reportedly said.

Kalshi appears to be actively targeting the Dutch market, the report said, adding that users can bet on Dutch Eredivisie football matches and previously had the option to speculate on Dutch elections. Hyperliquid, which operates as a decentralized blockchain platform, also recently expanded its prediction market offering to the Netherlands.
