IREN revenue falls 22% to $145 million as bitcoin miner leans harder into AI
The drop was $39.9 million, tied to a lower average Bitcoin price and the removal of older mining machines before new GPU systems began generating full customer billing.

The bottom line was uglier. IREN reported a net loss of $247.8 million, compared with a $155.4 million loss in Q2 FY26. Adjusted EBITDA fell to $59.5 million from $75.3 million. Costs also came down by $25.9 million, mainly because reduced mining activity lowered power use.

The quarter carried $140.4 million in non-cash impairments, mostly from retired mining hardware, and $23.7 million in unrealized losses tied to capped calls linked to convertible notes.

The US President Donald Trump administration has been waiting for Iran to respond to its proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the war. CLARITY Act Urgent Update: Senate Committee Could Vote as Soon as Tomorrow
The push for US crypto regulation just got more urgent. As reported by Eleanor Terrett, the Senate Banking Committee is preparing to notice a markup for the CLARITY Act as soon as tomorrow, with draft legislative text already circulated to select industry members ahead of a potential Thursday vote, according to multiple sources who have seen the document.

The language is still being finalized, with additional edits expected to reflect priorities from Democratic offices. One source described the overall mood after reviewing the bill as positive, though some bracketed sections are raising concerns that provisions previously thought to be settled may still be in flux.

The July 4 Target Is Real

White House digital assets adviser Patrick Witt confirmed at Consensus Miami this week that the administration is targeting July 4 for House passage of the CLARITY Act. The timeline is tight.

Only four active Senate weeks are available in June, meaning the bill needs to clear the Senate Banking Committee quickly to have any realistic chance of reaching a floor vote before the summer deadline. “We are in the red zone,” Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott said this week.

The Public Wants It Done

New polling from HarrisX makes the political case even clearer. A survey of 2,008 registered voters found that 52% support the CLARITY Act after receiving a neutral explanation of the bill. Only 11% oppose it. Support crossed party lines, with Democrats, Republicans, and Independent voters all backing the legislation.

The numbers go further. 70% of voters believe the US should have already passed crypto legislation. 60% prefer clear federal rules over regulation through lawsuits and enforcement actions.

Near Protocol’s [NEAR] chart structure presents a setup that suggests the potential for a bullish run, although the breakout remains uncertain for now.

This stems from the fact that NEAR has yet to breach the resistance level of a bullish formation known as the ascending triangle pattern, which the altcoin continues to trade within.

In previous instances, this supply zone has triggered a decline of nearly 25% toward the support level of the pattern. A similar setup could once again force the asset lower toward support before any sustained rally materializes.

Despite this risk, the market still shows decent upside potential.

A breakout above the supply zone would indicate that the asset could extend its gains by around 14% toward $1.7, while a stronger rally phase could push NEAR as high as $1.8, representing a potential 24% upside move.

Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto, took the Consensus Miami 2026 stage on Thursday to outline how the group’s 2.7 million advocates will engage in the November midterms.

Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto, outlined the Coinbase-backed group’s 2026 midterm strategy at the Consensus Miami Policy Summit on Thursday, appearing alongside Fellowship PAC’s Jesse Spiro and Sternhell Group’s Alex Sternhell.

The session formed part of a broader Day 3 programme that put crypto’s political infrastructure on public display for the first time at Consensus.

Stand With Crypto has endorsed six congressional incumbents in its first round for 2026: Representatives Zach Nunn, Susie Lee, Mike Lawler, Don Davis, Greg Landsman, and Rob Bresnahan.

The group is simultaneously opposing Representatives Scott Perry and Marcy Kaptur. “This year crypto voters are poised to play a powerful and decisive role at the ballot box,” Lynaugh said, adding that the goal is to ensure the 120th Congress is “the most pro-crypto session in America’s history.”

Why November matters for crypto policy

The midterm context is defined by the CLARITY Act’s fate. As crypto.news reported, Senator Bernie Moreno has warned that missing the May Senate window could push comprehensive crypto legislation off the calendar until after the midterms, and potentially beyond.

The composition of the next Congress will determine whether the regulatory framework crypto companies have been pushing for gets a second chance.

Stand With Crypto’s Impact Research polling found nearly six in 10 crypto owners do not reliably vote for one party, and close to half said they would support a candidate they agree with on crypto even if they disagree on other issues.

Arkham has just changed that.The blockchain intelligence firm announced via an X post that they were rolling out a complete analytics suite for prediction markets, pulling from the same deanonymization engine it built to track crypto whales. This massive catalogue includes 3.5 billion address labels and 800,000 verified entities built up since 2022. The suite gives users the ability to track top traders by PNL, monitor any open positions, examine and analyze win rates and look out for any real-time activity in the space.In essence, Arkham has built a PNL-ranked leaderboard of traders in prediction markets that lets users look into any individual’s full trading history. This includes every open and closed trade, alongside lifetime PNL, ROI, win rate and a performance graph over time. The platform also runs a live tape of trades across the entire prediction market space, filtered by category so users can see who is buying what in real-time.

Arkham’s X post highlighted this in practice with an example. A trader by the name of Theo4 shows a $22 million lifetime PNL and an 88.9% win rate.
