As $ZEC broke through important resistance levels around the $300 and $400 zones, trading activity increased. Momentum traders and short covering intensified the move after those levels gave way.

A distinct breakout from compression is visible in the chart. While volatility gradually tightened, $XRP spent weeks building a base close to the $1.30 area. Buyers kept stepping in at support, while sellers gradually lost control over lower highs as a result of that range. The short-term shift in momentum is confirmed by the breakout above resistance. Additionally, price is making an effort to recover short-term moving averages, which strengthens the bullish argument.

In contrast to what $XRP had been displaying for the majority of the preceding months, volume has somewhat improved during the breakout, and RSI moved above neutral territory, indicating stronger buying activity. Traders should still exercise caution, though.

Despite the breakout, the overall structure is still weak. As it continues its downward trend, $XRP is still trading below significant higher timeframe resistance zones and below the 200 EMA. This indicates that the market's bearish structure has not yet completely reversed. Additionally, there's a good chance that this will become yet another brief breakout before sellers take back control.

Over the past year, $XRP has consistently displayed poor follow-through following bullish setups. Particularly in a market where traders continue to favor faster-moving assets like meme coins and high volatility plays, momentum spikes frequently fade quickly once volume cools off.

Cryptocurrency analytics company Glassnode assessed the current market outlook after Bitcoin broke through critical cost zones.

According to the company’s report, Bitcoin has risen above both the $78,200 level, defined as the “true market average,” and the $79,100 level, which is the average cost level for short-term investors. Analysts stated that if BTC manages to stay above this region throughout the next week, the “deep value phase,” which has been ongoing since February 2026, could be recorded as one of the shortest periods in Bitcoin history. According to Glassnode, the next critical resistance level in the market is around $85,200.

According to the company’s on-chain data, the average net realized profit/loss ratio over the last 30 days has turned positive again, reaching 0.003% of market value. While the amount of profit realized daily by long-term investors rose to $180 million, it was added that this figure remains significantly below the levels exceeding $1 billion at the peak of the current cycle.

However, it was stated that daily realized losses in the market are still at $479 million, which is approximately 140 percent above the stable range seen throughout the cycle. Glassnode noted that realized losses need to fall below $200 million for a healthier recovery to be confirmed.
