Evernorth, an XRP treasury company building its strategy around long-term participation in the XRP ecosystem, has asserted that XRP’s most important institutional story is not price action, exchange-traded fund (ETF) demand, or tokenization headlines. In a blog post by Chief Business Officer Sagar Shah on May 8, the firm said the XRP Ledger’s deeper shift is happening in the infrastructure that regulated capital needs before it can operate on public blockchain rails.Recent XRPL upgrades support that view. Multi-Purpose Tokens brought compliance controls into tokenized assets, including KYC requirements, transfer limits, allowlists, freeze controls, and clawback functions. Permissioned Domains added restricted environments for approved wallets. Token Escrow expanded settlement tools, while Permissioned DEX created controlled trading venues for approved
counterparties. Shah said:

“The most overlooked development on XRP right now is the institutional plumbing, not a price chart, ETF flows, or a tokenization headline.”

That framing moves XRP away from a hype-driven market narrative. Evernorth presents XRPL as a network being shaped around compliance, settlement, custody, lending, and privacy. Those functions matter because banks and asset managers need controlled access, clear counterparties, auditable transactions, and lower settlement risk before moving serious capital on-chain.Privacy and lending are also central to the thesis. Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) non-fungible tokens are surging again, fueling hopes of a broader revival in the battered $NFT market as speculative appetite returns across crypto.

Floor prices, or the lowest value for the flagship Yuga Labs collection, have climbed from around 5 $ETH to 10 $ETH over the past month, while apecoin (APE), the ecosystem’s governance token, has also rallied from below $0.10 to about $0.16 with a sharp increase in trading volumes.



The rebound comes as memecoins and other high-risk crypto assets are outperforming more defensive sectors such as decentralized finance (DeFi), suggesting retail traders are perhaps returning to the market after months of subdued activity.

For Yuga Labs' newly appointed CEO, Michael Figge, the rally reflects more than short-term hype.

“It’s clear from the numbers that for some time, as far as blue-chip digital collectibles go, it was oversold,” Figge told CoinDesk in an interview. “You had this huge compression in price, but if you actually look at an overlay graph, unique holders were actually up.”

Figge, who has held various executive roles at Yuga Labs since 2022, before taking over as CEO last month, argued that $NFT prices had become disconnected from user participation during the prolonged downturn.

Slowing Bitcoin Dominance May Signal Early Altcoin Rotation
Bitcoin’s share of the crypto market is losing momentum, fueling speculation that capital may be starting to rotate into altcoins.

A CryptoQuant Quicktake note published May 10 said Bitcoin dominance is flashing bearish signals on both the relative strength index, or RSI, and the moving average convergence divergence indicator, known as MACD. XWIN Japan wrote that the move could point to a shift in market structure rather than a simple technical correction.

Bitcoin led the digital-asset market in the first half of this year. Inflows into spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, broader institutional participation and macroeconomic uncertainty concentrated capital in the token, lifting its market share to about 60%. Most altcoins, by contrast, underperformed.

CryptoQuant analyst CryptoOnchain said more recent data shows signs of a change. The “Altcoin Volume Increasing Trend” indicator has been activated, a signal that appears when the 30-day moving average of altcoin trading volume on centralized exchanges rises above the 365-day average.
A similar pattern during the 2021 bull market was followed by gains in Ether and other major altcoins.

Recent trading has also shown money spreading beyond Bitcoin, with some altcoins including Solana and Sui posting double-digit gains.

On-chain indicators suggest the market has not yet reached overheated levels. XWIN Japan said the profit/loss margin and market value-to-realized value ratio, or MVRV, remain below levels seen at previous cycle peaks, while selling pressure from long-term holders is still limited.
