Compound Foundation Proposes 3,000 ETH to Aave for rsETH Recovery

Compound Foundation has proposed a governance plan offering 3000 $ETH to assist Aave in the ongoing rsETH recovery effort under the DeFi United initiative. The proposal includes a potential contribution of up to 3,000 $ETH to help restore stability after the recent disruption linked to rsETH. It states in their proposal that while Compound’s direct exposure to the incident is expected to remain limited, the protocol has chosen to participate in the recovery process.

Compound Foundation Proposes 3000 $ETH to Aave’s DeFi United

Post the rsETH incident, the Compound Foundation and its service providers began working with other participants in the ecosystem. Their efforts have focused on monitoring developments, assessing risks, and identifying possible solutions. These discussions have involved several counterparties for a coordinated effort.

Initial assessments show that Compound’s exposure remains manageable under various recovery options. Risk and security partners, such as Gauntlet, have backed this assessment. The Foundation said the situation was still evolving, and the picture at present may shift in the future.

Despite little exposure, the proposal indicates the impact of well-coordinated action in times of market stress. By assisting in the recovery effort, Compound is trying to help sustain stability across the system and minimize broader disruption potential of the incident. This application applies to the Compound DAO to have $ETH contribution to be authorized between 1,900 and 3,000 $ETH.

At today’s prices they would be between $4.3 million and $6.9 million.The final amount will be decided later, based on market conditions and the structure of the recovery plan.

A crypto analyst has highlighted how Solana could be setting up for a 10% price move based on a technical analysis (TA) pattern in its hourly chart.

Solana Could Be Following A Symmetrical Triangle
In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has talked about a TA pattern forming in the 1-hour price chart of Solana. The pattern in question is a Symmetrical Triangle, which is a type of consolidation channel that looks, as its name suggests, like a triangle.

The pattern involves two trendlines, with the higher one acting like a resistance level, while the lower one provides support. Like with other consolidation patterns in TA, a break out of either of these bounds can signal a breakout in that direction. This means that a surge above the triangle can be a bullish sign and a drop under the lower one a bearish one

The filing introduces an 85% asset threshold that would limit exposure to holdings outside existing eligibility standards. The proposal highlights a shift toward tighter portfolio requirements for future trust listings.

NYSE Arca is seeking to revise Rule 8.201-E, the generic listing framework for commodity-based trust shares. Under the proposed change, at least 85% of a trust’s net asset value would need to be held in assets already allowed by the rule. Those assets may include qualifying commodities, commodity-based assets, securities, cash, and cash equivalents. The remaining 15% could include other assets that do not independently meet the rule’s eligibility criteria, as long as the trust otherwise remains compliant. The filing states:

Ondo Finance is bringing tokenized equities closer to their traditional counterparts, offering investors a way to participate in corporate governance.

The feature, built with Broadridge Financial Solutions (BR), allows holders of more than 250 tokenized securities on Ondo's platform to review company filings and submit voting preferences through Broadridge’s ProxyVote system.
