UBS will gradually introduce crypto services, starting with select private clients in Switzerland, according to Bloomberg.

UBS, which oversees $6.6 trillion in assets, plans to let select wealthy clients trade bitcoin and ether as part of a broader digital-asset push, according to a Bloomberg report.

The move reflects rising demand from rich clients and comes as UBS evaluates partners for its crypto offering while monitoring regulation, market trends and risk controls.

UBS (UBS), with $6.6 trillion in assets under management (AUM), plans to start allowing select private clients to buy bitcoin and ether, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The decision to start offering crypto services, according to the story, stems from a growing demand from its wealthy clients.

Bitcoin Price Hits 9-Month Low Amid $2.6 Billion Liquidation: What’s Next?


Bitcoin price fell below the $80,000 support level, hitting a nine-month low and wiping out $2.6 billion in trader positions.


According to BeInCrypto data, the 6% slide sent the token to $77,082 before a minor rebound. This marked the first time prices have sat this low since April 2025.


Bitcoin Sinks Below ‘Fair Value’ for First Time in Years


The price action pushed Bitcoin below critical on-chain benchmarks for the first time in years.


Glassnode data confirmed that Bitcoin fell below its True Market Mean—currently $80,500—for the first time in 30 months. The last breach occurred in late 2023, when the asset traded at just $29,000.

Historically, a breach of this level signals a transition from a bull cycle to a mid-term bear market.


As a result, $BTC holders now face a grim reality as its Short-Term Holder Cost Basis has climbed to $95,400, while the Active Investor Mean stands at $87,300.


With the spot price significantly below these averages, the market now faces a substantial overhang of unrealized losses.


This technical breakdown triggered a violent deleveraging event across global derivatives exchanges.


Data from CoinGlass show that the collapse led to the liquidation of roughly $2.58 billion in trader positions.

Notably, the carnage hit one side of the market with extreme prejudice as “long” positions—bets on a price rebound—accounted for $2.42 billion of the total losses. This is the largest long liquidation event in the last three months.


Ethereum traders bore the heaviest burden, incurring $1.15 billion in liquidations, while Bitcoin-related wipes totaled more than $772 million.

The $1.90 region has become a key resistance zone where sellers continue to defend price. This level sits near major volume-based resistance and reflects the area where the market previously failed to reclaim value after the POC rejection. When price repeatedly fails to push above resistance, it signals that demand is insufficient at higher levels. This creates an environment where buyers become passive and sellers remain dominant. In XRP’s case, the inability to reclaim levels above $1.90 suggests that the market is still in a bearish acceptance zone and that upside attempts are being sold into. This is exactly how downtrends remain intact. Price doesn’t have to collapse instantly. Often, it grinds lower over time, rejecting key resistance levels while building liquidity beneath support zones.

При анализе эталонных активов очевидна общая слабость рынка.  Биткоин (BTC) упал на 10,3%, с 87 520 долларов 31 декабря 2025 года до 78 507 долларов 1 февраля 2026 года. Эфириум (ETH) потерял 18,75%, а Solana (SOL) — 15,32% за тот же период. Среднее снижение для этих трех криптовалют составляет 14,79%.


В категории Tier 1 среднее снижение составило 14,19%, при этом два альткоина выделяются в зеленой зоне: Cosmos (ATOM) вырос на 2,62%, а Hyperliquid (HYPE) — на 21,41%. В отличие от них, Avalanche (AVAX), $NEAR Protocol ($NEAR), Sui (SUI) и Toncoin (TON) понесли двузначные потери.
