Trump To End 2-Week Iran Ceasefire? Crypto Prediction Market Has This To Say

Despite peace talks falling apart this weekend, cryptocurrency punters don't see high chances of the two-week U.S.–Iran ceasefire ending just yet.

Will The Ceasefire Extend?

The likelihood of the ceasefire ending by April 18, before the full two-week duration, was estimated at 30%.

More than $2 million has been wagered on the outcome, and the market will resolve to “Yes” if Trump, the federal government, or the U.S. military officially announces that the ceasefire is no longer in effect.

Notably, the odds of the military operation in Iran concluding by the end of this month dropped to 24%, down from 12% the previous day.

A Fragile Ceasefire?

Earlier, Vice President JD Vance, who led the high-level peace talks from the U.S. side, said negotiations broke down over Iran’s unwillingness .

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused Washington of shifting demands at the last minute, adding, “Goodwill begets goodwill. Enmity begets enmity.”

$XRP beats Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Dogecoin in 24-hour ETF flows

$XRP is beating assets from the Big Three and even smaller meme coins in ETF flows.

$XRP has surprisingly surpassed Bitcoin, Ethereum and other significant assets in daily ETF inflows. The data shows that $XRP-linked products saw net inflows of about $3.3 million, while Bitcoin ETFs experienced a significant outflow of $159 million, and Ethereum products saw outflows of $64 million.

This appears to be a significant relative victory for $XRP on paper, but the market context is important. First off, $XRP is not taking over as the primary institutional asset. It reflects rotation under pressure more accurately.

Following periods of dominance, Bitcoin and Ethereum are seeing capital outflows, with some of that capital temporarily moving into smaller, more neutral assets like $XRP. $XRP is advantageous because it occupies a middle ground: it is big enough to be liquid, but it is not linked to the same narratives that are currently affecting ETH and $BTC.

Cardano founder criticizes $XRP

The Cardano founder also recently criticized Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse over his support for the CLARITY Act.

Bitcoin nears $75k as market stays split

Bitcoin’s technical setup and current on-chain signals both start to lean toward a bearish bias.

At the macro level, Bitcoin reacted sharply after the U.S. Vice President JD Vance left Pakistan and called the peace talks with Iran a “failure.” The news triggered an immediate risk-off move, with BTC sliding 1.87% intraday. More importantly, it also flushed leverage out of the system, wiping out nearly $48 million in long positions and marking the largest long liquidation event of the month so far.

At the same time, Bitcoin’s long-term holder supply continues to climb steadily. As the chart shows, roughly 200,000 BTC have accumulated in this cohort this month alone. This creates a clear split in sentiment: fear dominates short-term price action, while long-term holders continue to accumulate into weakness.

As the global crypto market cap has once again fallen back to the $2.43 trillion mark, there is a lot of chatter building around an upcoming altcoin season.

Though the CoinMarketCap Altcoin Season Index – which defines Bitcoin or altcoin season based on the top 100 altcoins relative to Bitcoin over the past 3 months sat at 32, the hype had still been increasing.

In fact, if looked carefully, since January 2026, only from the 16th of March to the 31st of March, the index flipped to an altseason. The rest of the time, the index was only indicating an ongoing Bitcoin season.

Additionally, the Bitcoin Dominance chart by TradingView was also trading strongly in the past 90 days and has failed to drop below 58%. At press time, too, BTC.D was at 59.54%, hinting that the Bitcoin season was strong.

Now, this sudden resurgence has sparked conversations among the crypto crowd on whether the Bitcoin price has formed a structural bottom yet. According to a prominent crypto founder, the world’s largest cryptocurrency might still experience “one final dump” before the end of this bear phase.

On-Chain Signal Points To One More BTC Drop
In an April 10 post on the X platform, the Alphractal founder and CEO, Joao Wedson, highlighted an emerging signal that suggests that the Bitcoin price still likely has one more trip to the downside. This projection is based on an on-chain insight that suggests that BTC’s price tends to move toward a cycle bottom when the Investor Price falls below the Long-Term Holder (LTH) Realized Price.

Wedson explained the relevance of this on-chain insight and why it emerges before a major price and an ensuing coin accumulation. According to the on-chain data expert, the Investor Price is a metric that measures the average cost of economically active coins, and, when it falls below the LTH Realized Price, suggests fresher capital has flowed in at lower prices than long-term investors paid.

Wedson wrote on X:

This usually happens after distribution phases, when demand weakens, and marginal buyers step back. Long-term holders historically sell less when the price approaches or dips below their cost basis.
