Hyperliquid-based perpetuals platform TradeXYZ on Friday launched Pre-IPO Perpetuals (IPOP), a new contract type designed to enable continuous price discovery for companies in the weeks leading up to a public listing.

According to the platform's documentation, IPOP markets are cash-settled perpetuals that reference a company's anticipated public equity, trade on share price rather than market capitalization, and are expected to convert into standard externally-priced perps once the underlying company lists and there is sufficient market data to support oracle pricing.

The first IPOP market is Cerebras (CBRS), the wafer-scale AI chipmaker that filed its public S-1 with the SEC on April 17 and is targeting a mid-May Nasdaq debut. The CBRS contract launched today with an Outside Launch Date of May 30 and a 60-day Settlement Period running through July 30. If Cerebras lists by May 30, the market converts to a standard CBRS perp. If not, settlement defaults to a time-weighted average of the IPOP price across the market's full lifespan.

TradeXYZ said the contracts are not shares, IPO allocations, or tokenized equity, and confer no ownership, voting, or dividend rights. Pricing uses a Hyperp-style mechanism that replaces an external oracle with a market-derived reference price, with funding calculations based on a 30-minute exponentially weighted moving average of the previous day's minutely mark prices.
The launch extends TradeXYZ's push into on-chain real-world asset (RWA) exposure. The platform secured a license from S&P Dow Jones Indices in March to launch the first officially sanctioned S&P 500 perpetual.

Naturally, the metric being between these two cutoffs implies a net neutral market mentality.

As displayed above, the indicator has a value of 46, which means that Bitcoin traders are holding a sentiment that leans fearful. The degree of fear is only slight, however, as the metric is sitting right on the edge of the zone.

On Tuesday, the Fear & Greed Index had surged to a value of 50, implying that sentiment was exactly in the balance. Despite bullish momentum in the market continuing over the past day, however, sentiment has actually deteriorated. This could be a potential indication that investors are still not convinced by the recovery surge.

XRP News Today: JPMorgan, Mastercard and Ondo Complete a Historic First

Four of the biggest names in global finance just completed a transaction that the industry has been working toward for years. Ondo, Kinexys by JPMorgan, Mastercard, and Ripple successfully executed a pilot transaction connecting the XRP Ledger directly with interbank settlement rails.

The result was the first time tokenized US Treasuries settled across borders and between banks in near real time, outside traditional banking windows.

How It Worked

The transaction moved through three distinct steps. Ondo processed a redemption of OUSG, its tokenized US Treasury product, on the XRP Ledger. Mastercard’s Multi-Token Network then routed the settlement instructions to Kinexys, JPMorgan’s blockchain-based payment platform. JPMorgan then delivered US dollars directly to Ripple’s Singapore bank account.

Start to finish, a tokenized asset moved from a public blockchain through global banking infrastructure and landed as real money in a real bank account, in real time.

Why It’s Important

Cross-border settlements today are slow, expensive, and bound by banking hours and time zones. This pilot demonstrated that those constraints are not inevitable. A public blockchain and traditional banking infrastructure can work together in a single integrated flow without one replacing the other.

Tokenized assets have long been described as the future of finance. This transaction suggested that future is closer than most expected. For the first time, a tokenized fund did not just exist on a blockchain. It settled across borders, across institutions, and across time zones as part of a live transaction.

The broader implication is significant. Global financial markets currently close. The infrastructure tested in this pilot is designed to make sure they never have to.
