HYPE hit $64.23 on May 24 as crypto.news data showed strong weekly and monthly gains.

Hyperliquid’s native token HYPE has extended its record rally as new analysis points to the protocol’s built-in buyback system as a main driver behind the move, rather than ETF demand alone.
Forbes contributor Zennon Kapron argued that HYPE’s latest run is tied closely to Hyperliquid’s Assistance Fund, a protocol mechanism that uses trading fee revenue to buy HYPE in the open market. His report said Hyperliquid has used more than $1.16 billion in fee revenue for token purchases since launch.

The model differs from a normal company buyback. Hyperliquid does not run the process through a board vote or quarterly approval. The protocol routes revenue into the Assistance Fund, which then buys HYPE as part of its token model.

DefiLlama data supports that structure. Its Hyperliquid page states that 99% of fees from Hyperliquid Perps and the spot order book go to the Assistance Fund for buying HYPE, excluding some builder and unit protocol fees.

That creates a steady demand channel as long as trading remains active. When the exchange produces more fees, the buyback pool grows. When trading slows, the same support can shrink.

Crypto.news price data showed HYPE trading near $63.16, up 13.72% in 24 hours, with a 24-hour high of $64.21. The same page listed HYPE’s all-time high at $64.23 on May 24, 2026.

A widely followed $XRP community figure says sentiment among $XRP developers is turning “majorly bullish.”

Digital Asset Investor, who has covered $XRP for nearly a decade, claimed that developers across the $XRP ecosystem are becoming increasingly optimistic despite $XRP’s recent price weakness. $XRP is currently trading around $1.35, down roughly 2% over the past week and 5% over the past month.

According to Digital Asset Investor, the current mood among $XRP developers feels different from previous market cycles. He said the growing optimism is not limited to a few prominent figures. Instead, it appears to be spreading across multiple developer accounts on X.

The analyst stated that after witnessing years of shifting $XRP sentiment, the latest wave of bullishness stands out as unusual. He added that other $XRP influencers have also privately noticed the same trend among builders within the ecosystem.

The comments have fueled speculation that developers may expect stronger adoption, regulatory clarity, and deeper institutional integration of the $XRP Ledger.

As a result, $RAIL has increased its mindshare by 208% based on social media activity as measured by Messari.

The recent rise of $RAIL popularity follows a general trend of increased usage. As Cryptopolitan reported, Railgun was already setting new records of value locked. As of May 2026, railgun holds over $97M in notional value locked, due to the drop of value in ETH.

$RAIL also has a relatively limited free float, with 57M of tokens in circulation out of a total supply of 100M tokens.

Unlike other mixers, Railgun is not entirely free to use. The way Railgun achieves privacy is to pre-vet its transaction sources and ban some addresses. Despite this, Railgun has also been used to mix funds in hacks, as the reaction time to blacklist addresses is still relatively long.
