This is known as Bitcoin Improvement Proposal BIP-361, which was updated on Tuesday in Bitcoin's official proposal repository, titled 'Post-Quantum Migration and Old Signature Retirement.' BIP-361 builds on the BIP-360 proposal introduced in February. BIP-360 introduced a soft fork (a type of network upgrade) aimed at enabling a new transaction type called 'Pay to Merkle Root' (P2MR). This approach draws from Bitcoin's Taproot (P2TR) framework but removes key-based spending paths, thus eliminating an element widely considered to pose risks in the quantum era. The BIP-361 proposal divides the migration into three phases. Phase A will commence three years after activation, prohibiting anyone from sending new Bitcoin to old, quantum-vulnerable addresses. You can still spend from these addresses, but cannot receive any coins. Phase B will start five years after activation, rendering old signatures (ECDSA and Schnorr) completely invalid, and the network will reject any attempts to spend coins from quantum-vulnerable wallets. Essentially, your coins will be frozen. Finally, Phase C is a rescue plan still under research: holders of frozen wallets may be able to prove ownership through zero-knowledge proofs (a method of proving knowledge of a secret without revealing the secret itself). If successful, coins frozen in Phase B could potentially be recovered.

Both humans and AI received exactly the same information, with no information disparity. The core conclusion is that all environments in ARC-AGI-3 were cleared by humans, with at least two independent participants completing each environment, and most environments having more than five clears. The ARC Prize Foundation stated, 'We have not yet achieved AGI, and this dataset is evidence of that.' Since the preview of ARC-AGI-3, nearly 1 million AI evaluation submissions have been received for the public environments. Based on this data, the foundation also announced two scoring rule adjustments: first, changing the human benchmark for each level from 'second-best player' to 'median player' to reduce the impact of luck on scores; and second, raising the maximum score limit for individual levels from 100% to 115% to prevent poor performance in one level from dragging down overall results.
