Dogecoin co-founder rejects $14M offer to boost image of Dogechain

08/28 09:06

Billy Markus, one of Dogecoin’s co-founders, can’t be bought with money – even if it’s $14 million. Dogechain, a relatively new digital currency that’s making some noise in the crypto industry, sought the outspoken infotech developer to promote the blockchain project. Dogechain is designed to bridge the gap between the meme coin and Web3. According to the Twitter user, Markus’ refusal to accept the offer was evidence of his unwillingness to “betray” the DOGE community. In response to the tweet, Markus reminded the community that he had not become wealthy by developing the crypto. He stated that he was even occasionally accused of advocating pump-and-dump scams on the cryptocurrency market.
