Ant Group's AI subsidiary launches LingBot-Depth model

 Ant Group's artificial intelligence company launched the LingBot-Depth model today. According to the introduction, LingBot-Depth is a depth completion model designed for real-world scenarios, aiming to convert incomplete and noise-interfered depth sensor data into high-quality, true-scale 3D measurement results. This model addresses key challenges in robotics and autonomous systems: consumer-grade depth cameras tend to fail on highly reflective surfaces such as glass, mirrors, and metal, while these scenarios require more reliable depth perception. We treat sensor failure areas as learnable structural cues rather than simple noise, using a Masked Depth Modeling (MDM) mechanism to fully utilize the visual contextual information in RGB images for intelligent inference and completion of missing depth regions. At the same time, we have built an automated data filtering and quality control process to support large-scale, scalable training. To promote the development of spatial perception research, we will open-source the model along with 2 million pairs of high-quality RGB-depth paired data.
