Chinese crypto mogul Li Lin’s private trading arm is set to move into a Hong Kong-listed wealth firm

Chinese crypto billionaire Li Lin's private trading empire will soon move into a Hong Kong-listed company he controls, in a move designed to cater to growing investor demand for digital assets.

That Hong Kong-listed firm is Bitfire, a wealth management company, where Li is the largest shareholder. Bitfire said Wednesday that it will pay $1.6 million to acquire a trading system and investment team from Li's own family office Avenir Group, according to Reuters.

While structured as a purchase, the deal effectively transfers part of Li’s in-house crypto operation into a publicly listed vehicle, giving it a clearer path to attract institutional investors.

The timing reflects a broader shift in the region. Mainland China has banned crypto trading since 2021, but Hong Kong is positioning itself as a regulated hub for digital assets, drawing interest from firms looking for a compliant base. Hong Kong recently awarded stablecoin licenses to to HSBC and Standard Chartered.

By acquiring Avenir's capabilities, Bitfire plans to roll out a bitcoin-focused strategy, “Alpha BTC,” targeting more than 10,000 bitcoins, worth about $760 million, in assets within a year.

The strategy will seek returns through derivatives trading, including options tied to bitcoin and products like the IBIT.

Avenir has built a significant position in bitcoin ETFs, holding 18.3 million shares of IBIT, issued by BlackRock, valued at about $908 million as of the end of 2025, as per the company's regulatory filing.

Li founded Huobi, now known as HTX, and built it into one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges before selling a controlling stake to Justin Sun for about $1 billion in 2022. He has since focused on managing investments through Avenir.

Shiba Inu Revisits Historic Support Zone That Once Ignited a 1,660% Price Explosion: Will History Repeat?

One analyst believes Shiba Inu (SHIB) has revisited a critical price support zone that has historically sparked explosive rallies of up to 1,660%. Crypto Patel points to this region as a proven base for explosive price rallies, emphasizing that SHIB is trading inside a defined accumulation zone tagged “Support Zone (Accumulation Zone 1).” 

This area previously experienced heavy buying pressure, sparking powerful upswings in 2021 and 2024. This places the meme-inspired crypto at a critical point where the next move could be decisive.
In his post on X, Crypto Patel identifies the $0.000004–$0.000005 range as a key accumulation zone for Shiba Inu, noting that it has historically fueled major price rallies.

According to his accompanying chart, SHIB rallied as much as 1,660% in late 2021 after bouncing from this area, and later posted another 746% surge in 2024 under similar market conditions.

Patel emphasizes that Shiba Inu is forming a pattern reminiscent of earlier breakout phases, with consolidation at support suggesting buyers may be quietly accumulating.

In addition, the chart indicates that a descending resistance trendline has been steadily compressing price action in Shiba Inu over time, effectively capping volatility and limiting upside moves.

As this compression structure matures and approaches its apex, the likelihood of a decisive breakout increases—particularly if stronger buying interest emerges near key support levels.

Consecutive Net Inflows Recorded in Both Bitcoin and Ethereum-Based Spot ETFs! Here Are the Details
Capital flows into exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the cryptocurrency market continue, with both Bitcoin and Ethereum-based spot ETFs recording consecutive net inflows.

According to SoSoValue data, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a net inflow of $11.84 million on the April 21 US trading day, continuing a streak of positive flows for the sixth consecutive day.

The highest daily inflow was seen in the IBIT ETF managed by BlackRock. This fund recorded a net inflow of approximately $39.34 million in a single day, bringing its historical total net inflow to $64.9 billion. It was followed by the Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF offered by Grayscale, which also saw a daily inflow of $17.25 million. Conversely, Grayscale’s GBTC ETF was the product with the largest net outflow of the day, at $17.5 million.

In total, the net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs has reached approximately $99.08 billion, which is equivalent to 6.54% of Bitcoin’s total market capitalization. Cumulative net inflow has risen to $57.99 billion.

On the other hand, Ethereum spot ETFs also performed strongly. A total net inflow of $43.36 million was recorded on the same day, marking a nine-day uninterrupted inflow trend in this area. BlackRock’s ETHA ETF led with $37 million, while the ETHE fund experienced outflows of $12.13 million.

Ethereum spot ETFs have reached a total net asset value of $13.66 billion, with cumulative net inflows recorded at $12.05 billion. These figures indicate continued interest from institutional investors.

The company is working with research firm Project Eleven on validator benchmarks and an early custody wallet prototype.
