He notes that this zone has repeatedly acted as a springboard for strong recoveries in the past, and the recent rebound from the same area could be an early signal that Cardano is once again building momentum for a larger structural rally.

To back up his bullish view, the crypto analyst highlighted two historical instances in which Cardano successfully defended the $0.25 support zone before staging powerful upside moves. In January 2023, for instance, ADA bounced from this level and climbed over 88% in the weeks that followed. Cryptoquant, an on-chain and market data analytics firm, shared analysis on X on May 7, outlining the price levels bitcoin may need to reclaim before traders can confirm a market bottom. BTC traded near $80,874 while remaining below several realized price bands tied to underwater holder groups. The analysis focused on how those resistance levels could determine whether recent recovery attempts develop into a sustained reversal.

The chart in the analysis mapped Bitcoin UTXO age bands against realized price levels for different holder cohorts. It identified the 3-month to 6-month realized price near $88,879 as the first line of overhead supply above spot price. Another resistance wall appeared near $93,446 for the 12-month to 18-month cohort. The heaviest concentration came from the 6-month to 12-month band near $111,851, which remained roughly 29% above BTC spot price at the time of the study. The analysis stated:

“Every one of these levels is a break-even exit point for a different wave of trapped buyers.”

UTXO age bands track bitcoin supply based on how long coins have remained unmoved since their last transaction. CME $ADA futures went live on February 9, 2026 — starting the mandatory six-month regulated futures clock required before a spot ETF can be approved under the SEC’s new generic listing standards framework.

The clock is ticking. The market, for the most part, is still asleep.

August 9, 2026 is the date $ADA becomes eligible for the streamlined ETF approval process.

If Grayscale or NYSE Arca activates its filing on that date, the SEC has a maximum 75-day review window — putting a final decision deadline at October 23, 2026.

Firms like Bitwise and Canary Capital are also pushing for Cardano ETFs, meaning late 2026 could see multiple $ADA ETF launches simultaneously.

Grayscale has already increased $ADA’s allocation inside its Smart Contract Fund — from 17.96% to 18.33% — while reducing Ethereum exposure.

The Leios Public Testnet is scheduled for June 2026, targeting over 1,000 transactions per second.

The Midnight Mainnet — Cardano’s privacy-focused sidechain for confidential smart contracts — is also set for Q2 2026. The development pipeline is real.

The institutional positioning is happening. The price just hasn’t followed — yet.
