Notably the trading volume for Chiliz has dropped sharply by around 36% over the past day. This suggests that the price increase lacked strong participation. Lower volume for a crypto often means weaker conviction among buyers. Consequently, the surge may struggle to hold without fresh demand entering the market.

From a technical standpoint, Chiliz remains under pressure. The crypto continues to trade below key moving averages, which implies a broader bearish structure. The recent gain has not changed this condition. It only represents a small bounce within a larger downtrend.

The immediate level to watch is the pivot support near $0.0355. At this level, it functioned as a short-term floor over the past few sessions. Holding above it could push the price towards the next resistance. The 7-day simple moving average, which is located around $0.0378, is the first target on the upside. But a fall below the $0.0355 level could add more losses. If that’s the case, the price may inch closer to its yearly low. This makes the current range crucial for short-term direction.

Market sentiment around Chiliz also remains neutral. Social or investor interest hasn’t changed much. In the absence of a strong narrative or catalyst, crypto price movements will probably be limited. The token continues to depend on global market conditions and technical factors.

What is driving the edgeX rally?

A major driver behind the latest move is the edgeX [$EDGE] team’s continued supply reduction strategy.

As the price advanced, the circulating supply tightened. The team deployed $838,000 in buybacks during this rally.

Since initiating the program in April, total buybacks have reached $13 million, steadily removing tokens from the open market.

This contraction in supply has coincided with rising demand. Over the same period, 610 new wallets entered the market.

While individual purchase sizes remain unclear, the influx of new holders signals expanding participation. Total holders stood at 20,600, as of press time.

The resistance between $75,000 and $80,000 continues to serve as a heavy barrier, limiting further gains for the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

Record highs fuel optimism in U.S. stock markets

American stock markets are forging ahead with strong gains, even against the backdrop of ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The Nasdaq index surged by 1.6% and closed higher for an 11th consecutive trading session—its longest winning streak on record—breaking the 24,000-point mark for the first time in its history. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 rose 0.8% to a new all-time high above 7,000 points. These milestones signal robust risk appetite among investors and reinforce the ongoing rally mood in traditional financial markets.

The positive momentum on Wall Street has extended to crypto-linked stocks as well. Shares of Coinbase, one of the largest U.S.-based crypto platforms, jumped by 6.2%. His post highlighted the renewed price call and drew attention back to his broader macro argument. Draper stressed:
“I have reason to believe that bitcoin will reach $250K in 18 months … eventually I expect the number to be higher as bitcoin rises and the dollar falls to inflationary pressures.”

That framing suggests he is again tying $BTC’s upside to weakening fiat purchasing power rather than short-term trading signals. The timing also matters because the new 18-month window effectively refreshes a target he had previously attached to earlier deadlines, including 2022, June 2023, and later 2025. With bitcoin still far below that threshold, the latest post functions as another reset of a forecast that remains central to his public
