South Korean Gaming Company NXC Decides to Reduce Its Crypto Holdings! Here Are the Details



NXC, the parent company of Nexon, one of South Korea’s leading gaming companies, is undergoing a significant restructuring of its crypto asset strategy.

According to local media reports, the company is both reducing its cryptocurrency holdings and exiting some of its investments in the sector.

According to NXC’s consolidated audit report, the total value of the crypto assets held by the company as of the end of 2025 will be 147.6 billion Korean won (approximately $108 million).

This portfolio contains 2,356 Bitcoin and 22,400 Ethereum. This figure represents a 15.2% decrease compared to the same period last year.

The company’s actions were not limited to asset reduction alone. NXC also sold its stake in the international cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp, removing that subsidiary from its financial statements.

The company also announced plans to divest all of its shares in Korbit, a South Korea-based cryptocurrency exchange, in line with a board decision made in February.

However, NXC continues its strategy of diversifying its business. In February, the company acquired a stake in CLI Group, an industrial solutions company operating in Europe, through its Belgium-based investment arm NXMH.

Experts believe that these moves by NXC may be part of a long-term strategic repositioning effort amidst volatility in the cryptocurrency market.

A new report from blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs highlights growing concerns over crypto-driven illicit finance in Latin America, while also showing how regulation across the region is quickly 

A new report from blockchain intelligence firm TRM Labs highlights growing concerns over crypto-driven illicit finance in Latin America, while also showing how regulation across the region is quickly catching up.
According to the report, stablecoins now account for roughly 95% of inflows linked to sanctioned entities globally within LatAm-related activity. Their speed, liquidity, and cross-border usability have made them the preferred tool for digital value transfer in the region’s evolving financial landscape.
TRM Labs also noted large-scale laundering operations involving organized crime networks, including flows associated with the Sinaloa Cartel. These operations reportedly leveraged local brokers and P2P platforms, with estimated laundering volumes reaching around $103 billion in 2025.
Despite these risks, governments across Latin America are accelerating regulatory responses rather than stepping back from digital assets.
Brazil has introduced a new licensing framework for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), strengthening AML and counter-terrorism financing rules.
Argentina has tightened oversight with updated registration requirements, audits, and asset segregation standards.
Mexico has implemented risk-based compliance systems, mandatory compliance officers, and periodic audits under Central Bank supervision.
TRM Labs concluded that regulatory frameworks across the region are converging quickly, forcing exchanges, fintechs, and service providers to upgrade compliance infrastructure in advance of enforcement deadlines.
While illicit activity remains a concern, the broader trend is clear: Latin America is moving toward a more structured and compliance-driven crypto ecosystem, where regulatory readiness will become a key competitive advantage.

OTC Share climbed to 82.26%, indicating most activity shifted off exchanges. Large players appeared to absorb supply with minimal slippage. Meanwhile, only 17.14% of the flow remained on exchanges, with Coinbase capturing 58.21%.

At the same time, Long-Term Holders [LTHs] stayed inactive. Just 94.68 BTC of older coins moved to exchanges, despite 706,000 BTC in settlement volume.

ClearBank secures MiCA approval, targets Circle euro, dollar stablecoins for institutional clients

ClearBank Europe plans to start offering euro- and U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins after saying it's the first Dutch credit institution cleared to provide crypto services under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.

The bank, which has more than 270 institutional clients, 1.7 million individual customers and more than $13 billion in assets under management, received confirmation from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) after notifying the regulator of its plans, allowing it to operate as a crypto asset service provider (CASP).

That approval allows ClearBank to begin rolling out digital asset services without applying for a new license. Clients will be able to convert between fiat currencies and stablecoins within a regulated banking environment. The setup links traditional clearing systems with blockchain networks, which can reduce settlement times and improve cross-border transfers.

ClearBank will connect to Circle Internet’s (CRCL) Mint platform to give its institutional clients access to EURC and USDC, which track the euro and U.S. dollar, respectively.

“Becoming a crypto-asset service provider under MiCAR, enables us to bring digital asset capabilities into a regulated clearing environment for the first time, putting us at the forefront of this new era of digital clearing,” said Tristan Kirchner, CEO of ClearBank Europe.

The rollout marks the bank’s first step into digital clearing in Europe, the bank said. ClearBank also said the move forms part of a broader strategy to connect banking infrastructure with digital asset markets, including separate efforts in the U.K. through a partnership with Coinbase (COIN).

After a brief rally, Bitcoin price yet again faced a significant pullback and is entering a phase where price action looks quiet. After weeks of choppy movement around the $70,000–$71,000 range, Bitcoin has shifted into a tightening formation, compressing between a descending resistance trendline and rising support. At first glance, this looks like indecision. In reality, it’s a classic setup where volatility contracts before expanding sharply.

On the other hand, the whale order book shows heavy sell pressure stacked between current ranges, while strong builds below the strong support. This explains the recent price action, which is sluggish that fail to follow through and experience repeated rejections. While both buyers and sellers are positioning ahead of the next move, the question arises as to what’s next for the BTC price. 
Whale Orderbook Reveals Bitcoin’s Real Battleground

Bitcoin may appear range-bound near $70,700, but the orderbook shows a market driven by uneven liquidity rather than stability. The $71,000–$72,000 zone is thin, meaning there are not enough orders to absorb price movement, which explains the recent choppy and reactive behavior. Small moves push price quickly, but they fail to sustain because there is no depth to support continuation. This is not indecision—it’s a lack of liquidity in the middle of the range.
The real activity sits at the extremes. Heavy sell walls between $74,000 and $75,000 form a strong resistance cluster, while large bids around $69,000–$70,000 provide a solid support base.
