Solana price technical analysis

On the chart, Solana has slipped below its short-term trend support around $124 and failed to reclaim prior consolidation levels. Each bounce attempt has been met with selling, keeping pressure on the price.

The 50-day moving average, sitting in the mid-$130s, continues to act as a ceiling. Since the peak above $240, the price has consistently rolled over before reaching that area. Selling pressure has also pushed the price closer to the lower Bollinger Band, while the mid-band has started to slope lower.Momentum has softened. The relative strength index has dropped below the mid-40s and has yet to show any meaningful recovery. Downside energy has slowed near current levels, but there are no clear signs of a reversal.

The $120 zone now sits in focus. It lines up with prior demand and recent consolidation. A daily close below it would leave little support until the psychological $100 area. If buyers step in and hold the level, price may stabilize, though upside attempts are likely to stay capped unless SOL can move back above $135–$140.

XRP Burn Metric Surges as Prolonged Price Pullback Nears End

XRP has continued to trade in the deep red territory, but its network activity suggests that momentum might return to the market in the near term.

Amid the broad crypto market slowdown, the leading altcoin has seen a sharp surge in its burn activity, according to data from CryptoQuant. As such, it appears that a notable price resurgence might be underway.

XRP retests $1.87

Following the surge in the XRP burn activity, the amount of XRP burned as fees has surged modestly by about 1% over the last day, hitting about 400 XRP on Jan. 25.

The surge in the burn metric suggests a reduction in sell-off pressure, as traders are willing to hold their assets to aid in price stability.

While the metric also suggests increased use in XRP for payment purposes, which often helps to drive an increase in the price of the asset, it appears that XRP may be on track for a major comeback in price.

As the broad crypto market volatility continues to persist, XRP has continued to plunge, and it has recently retested the $1.87 level despite trading above $2 for the most part of January.

With the asset now retesting previous levels, traders are optimistic that the rising network performance could drive momentum for XRP and stabilize its price movements.

Apart from the positive network activity, other on-chain metrics still appear discouraging as XRP’s trading volume has continued to plunge, and it is currently down by 26%.

The Saga EVM chain security vulnerability arose from a series of contract deployments, operations between blockchain networks via smart contracts, and ultimately, the withdrawal of funds from these smart contracts.

Due to the severity of this incident, we have suspended blockchain activity at block height 6593800 until we have thoroughly investigated and addressed the issue.

It discovered a security issue on the SagaEVM chain. The project is currently suspended, and our engineering team is working to fix these issues. The security team has completed all phases of the remediation process.


What we are currently doing:

Continuing to suspend the supply chain while implementing mitigation measures to prevent further impact.

Verifying the entire "blast radius" using archival data and execution traces.

Strengthening affected components before resuming operation.

Only releasing confirmed facts.

Impact

Approximately $7 million worth of USDC, yUSD, ETH, and tBTC were withdrawn to the Ethereum mainnet.

The attacker's wallet address is 0x2044697623afa31459642708c83f04ecef8c6ecb. We are working with bridges and exchanges to blacklist this wallet and recover the stolen tokens.

There were no consensus failures, validator breaches, or signer key leaks.
