The rebranding is intended to highlight the firm’s focus on bitcoin and AI as transformative technologies.

“We executed on $20 billion of our $42 billion capital expenditure plan, well ahead of our original timeline, while leading the digital transformation of capital in the financial markets,” Le added, referring to Strategy’s bitcoin accumulation strategy.

Biggest BTC Hoarding Gain in Q4

The earnings report showed the firm holds 471,107 BTC, worth $46 billion at current market prices.

 “Q4 2024 marked our largest quarterly increase in bitcoin holdings, culminating in the acquisition of 218,887 bitcoin worth $20.5 billion since the end of Q3,” said Andrew Kang, CFO. The company reported a key bitcoin return metric of 74% for 2024 and revised its annual BTC return target to a minimum of 15% for 2025.

BTC return is designed to measure the effectiveness of the company’s bitcoin acquisition strategy and the percentage change from one period to the next in the amount of BTC it owns per share.

The strategy also introduced several new metrics to evaluate its future performance, including BTC gain, which is the amount of bitcoin the company holds at the beginning of a period multiplied by the BTC return for that period.

 The second metric, called BTC $Gain, takes the BTC Gain metric and converts its value into dollars based on the market price of BTC on the last day of the quarter. Strategy said it has achieved a BTC Gain of 140,538 in 2024 and is targeting a BTC $Gain of $10 billion in 2025.
