The current Dogecoin performance trend has highlighted the appearance of a rather interesting behavioral pattern. This has to do with the zig-zag movement of the meme coin through the last few months, and depending on the direction of the next move, it could determine how the Dogecoin price could play out. Given this, a crypto analyst has given three different scenarios that could end up playing out for the digital asset soon.

Dogecoin Price Displays Kumo Cloud Behavior
Crypto analyst Trader Tardigarde pointed out a rather ineresting formation on the Dogecoin price chart using the 4-Hour chart. According to the analysis, the current Dogecoin up and down movement suggests the appearance of a Thin Cloud Behavior.

As Trader Tardigrade explains, the Dogecoin price movements through this thin cloud suggests that the meme coin is not seeing a lot of movement. This means that there is nothing that is currently blocking the price from moving. But the interesting part of this is that the price is not blocked in either direction. Thus, Dogecoin could push in any direction from here.

As a result, there are three scenarios that could play out for the cryptocurrency at this point. The first of these is the bearish one that could lead to a sustained downtrend. The Thin Cloud current lies between $0.092 and just below $0.093. If the price breaks below the bottom, then it could trigger a breakdown.

This breakdown would lead to the cloud actually thickening, eliminating the thin cloud currently being seen. Additionally, it would push the price further down, possibly breaking below the $0.09 level once again. However, there is still the possibility of a bullish scenario.

Ice Open Network News: CEO Cuts Monthly Costs by 89%, Promises New Product Launch in 8 Weeks

Ice Open Network’s CEO published a detailed update on Wednesday outlining dramatic cost cuts and a new strategic direction, two days after the project came close to announcing a full shutdown following the ION token crash.

Monthly operating costs have been reduced from approximately $400,000 to $45,000, an 89% cut achieved in 48 hours. The CEO described it as moving fast and cutting deep, keeping only what is essential.

“A good idea means nothing if execution is too slow,” the CEO wrote. “That is the lesson we are taking forward.”

What Changes Immediately

The company is now primarily a development team. Non-essential staff, overhead and side projects have been removed. The CEO said he will personally join the development effort to accelerate the timeline.

To fund operations, the company will activate an automatic daily sale of $1,500 worth of ION tokens from its treasury of just over 1 billion ION. The CEO acknowledged this was not an easy decision but described it as the practical path to keeping the project alive over the coming months.

The new product will be built in a closed-source environment during development. The reason given is speed rather than secrecy, with the CEO stating that shipping matters more than optics at this stage.

A direct comparison between Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs reveals a modest correlation in capital flows, suggesting similar investor behavior between the two assets. In contrast, XRP and Solana ETFs have experienced relatively subdued activity, likely impacted by persistent market volatility and a prevailing risk-off sentiment among investors.

Bitcoin And Ethereum ETF Performance This Past Week
Data from SoSoValue shows that Spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen stronger inflows than outflows since the start of last week. On April 6, Bitcoin ETFs posted their largest single-day inflow since the beginning of March, with more than $471.3 million flowing into these investment products. BlackRock’s IBIT had led this massive inflow with approximately $181.9 million. This was followed by Fidelity’s FBTC, which recorded inflows of about $147.3 million.

Following this, Bitcoin ETFs saw sharp outflows for two consecutive days, with $159.05 million withdrawn on April 7 and another $125.55 million leaving the fund on April 8. The decline in flows coincided with the US-Iran ceasefire announcement, which ironically should have bolstered market sentiment and yielded more positive results. However, the outflows continued, with Fidelity’s FBTC recording the highest outflows, followed by Grayscale’s GBTC and BlackRock’s IBIT.

BoE governor Bailey calls for globally-unified stablecoin regulations


Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey (who is also the chair of the Financial Stability Board) said on Wednesday at an event hosted by the Institute of International Finance that the world is still moving too slowly on one shared set of rules for crypto industry’s stablecoins.

He said work on international standards for stablecoins has lost speed over the past year, even as these tokens keep getting deeper into the global financial system.

Andrew also tied the debate to a basic issue, saying stablecoins only work if people trust they can redeem them at full value every time. That is the point behind what he called assured value. Andrew said:

“We do have to have international standards to it to underpin assured value. I don’t think we can have a situation where we’ve got different rules of engagement in different countries for that.”

Andrew’s warning comes as Britain and America’s Trump administration are both trying to build their individual local frameworks.

The United States has already taken another step on its own side. The Department of the Treasury published a long-awaited notice of proposed rulemaking, or NPRM, that would force stablecoin issuers to meet tough sanctions compliance standards under the $GENIUS Act.

On April 8, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, known as FinCEN, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, or OFAC, jointly released the proposal. It set out requirements for permitted payment stablecoin issuers, also called PPSIs, focused on stopping illicit finance.

The proposal says PPSIs will need to follow the same financial crime compliance duties that already apply to other US financial institutions once the $GENIUS Act regime becomes fully active in January 2027.
