1. What Is Kaito?

Kaito (KAITO) is an information, market intelligence, attention, and capital distribution platform tailored for the crypto industry. Its current product suite includes Kaito Pro, Kaito API/MCP, Mindshare Arena, Capital Launchpad, and Kaito Studio (specifically designed for brands and creators). Its legacy products, Kaito Yaps and the incentivized leaderboard, ceased operations in January 2026.

2. How Does Kaito Work?

Kaito Pro, API/MCP, and Mindshare Arena leverage search, knowledge graphs, natural language processing, and real-time analysis to index and structure data from social media, research reports, news, podcasts, and on-chain sources. Kaito shut down the previous open-ended distribution models, Yaps and leaderboards, with Kaito Studio, a curated, tiered, and data-driven marketplace matching brands with creators. KAITO can be used for staking and ecosystem participation. The project team stated that it will continue to play a role in Kaito Studio, with specific mechanisms yet to be further disclosed.

3. Who Founded Kaito?

Kaito was co-founded by CEO Yu Hu and AI Lead Yunzhong He. The project raised a $5.3 million seed round in February 2023 led by Dragonfly Capital, followed by a $5.5 million Series A round in June 2023 led by Superscrypt and Spartan.

4. Kaito Tokenomics

The total supply of the KAITO token is fixed at 1 billion tokens. The allocation is as follows: Ecosystem & network growth 32.2%, core contributors 25%, Foundation 10%, initial community & ecosystem claims 10%, early supporters 8.3%, long-term creator incentives 7.5%, liquidity 5%, Binance HODLer airdrop 2%.KAITO is used for governance, staking, ecosystem incentives, and value coordination within the Kaito product suite.

5. Timeline of Key Milestones

February 2023: $5,300,000 seed round completed.

June 2023: $5.5 million Series A funding round completed.

2024: Kaito Yaps and Mindshare products gained market traction.

February 2025: Launch of the KAITO token.

January 2026: Kaito discontinued Yaps and incentivized leaderboards, pivoting to Kaito Studio.
