HTX to Roll Out API Upgrade for USDT-M Futures Trading System

05/26 07:18:04 (UTC)Important AnnouncementUSDT-M Futures Guides

Dear HTX Users,

To enhance the quality and performance of our futures trading services, HTX will conduct a comprehensive API upgrade and migration for the USDT-M Futures Trading System. This initiative marks a complete overhaul of our core trading infrastructure, designed to provide users with a higher-performing, more stable, and more standardized API service experience. The relevant arrangements are hereby announced as follows:

I. Migration Timeline

  • Start Date: 08:00:00 (UTC) on May 26, 2026
  • End Date: 15:59:59  (UTC) on July 13, 2026

Note: Following the migration deadline, the old API version will be permanently discontinued. Any accounts that have not completed the migration will lose the ability to place orders, cancel orders, or execute other trading operations. Users are strongly advised to plan and execute their migration well in advance of this deadline. (Accounts that have already been upgraded to Multi-Assets Collateral Mode will not be affected by this migration.)

II. Migration Scope

  • This upgrade requires the re-integration of all futures interfaces (including copy trading), with the exception of market data interfaces. The following categories must be updated:
    • Account-Related Interfaces (assets, balances, etc.)
    • Order-Related Interfaces (order placement, order cancellation, queries, etc.)
    • Position-Related Interfaces (current positions, position limits, etc.)
    • Trading Bots / Conditional Order Interfaces
    • Basic Information Interfaces
  • New API Documentation: https://www.htx.com/en-us/opend/newApiPages/?id=5532
  • Old API Documentation: https://www.htx.com/en-us/opend/newApiPages/?id=504

III. Optimization Details

This API upgrade delivers significant improvements across multiple dimensions:

  • Streamlined Interface Architecture: The interface system has been systematically reviewed and consolidated. The number of core interfaces has been significantly reduced, lowering integration complexity and improving maintainability and usability.
  • Improved Trading Performance: Core processes—including order placement, cancellation, execution, and settlement—have been thoroughly optimized to deliver lower latency and higher throughput, ensuring more stable and efficient trading responses under high-concurrency market conditions.
  • Enhanced Data Consistency: Account, position, and execution data structures have been unified, reducing data discrepancies across different interfaces and making it easier for developers to process and integrate data across multiple dimensions.
  • Unified Risk Control Model: Margin calculations, risk indicators, and mark price logic have been standardized to improve the consistency and predictability of risk control rules, enabling users to conduct more accurate risk assessments and strategy modeling.
  • Upgraded Interface Standards: Interface naming and parameter structures are now more unified and clearer, authentication methods are more standardized, and the documentation structure has been optimized accordingly to improve integration efficiency and compatibility.
  • Stronger Scalability: The upgraded architecture provides stronger support for future expansion of trading features and quantitative capabilities. We will continue to iterate and deliver more powerful API capabilities.

IV. Migration Guide (Recommended)

  • Create a Test Sub-Account
    • It is recommended to create a sub-account under your existing main account for migration testing and debugging.
    • Call the /v5/account/asset_mode interface to upgrade the sub-account to the new Single-Asset Collateral Mode (asset_mode=2) or Multi-Asset Collateral Mode (asset_mode=1).
  • Interface Adaptation
    • Adjust request paths, parameters, and signature methods according to the latest API documentation.
  • Core Interface Verification: Order placement / cancellation, position queries, account asset queries, execution reports, etc.

Notes:

1. For accounts that have completed the mode upgrade (asset_mode=1 / asset_mode=2), private interfaces (trading, account, position, etc.) can only be accessed through V5 APIs. Old-version private interfaces will no longer be available.

2. Please prioritize the migration and regression testing of core interfaces such as order placement, cancellation, positions, and assets. It is recommended to begin as early as possible to avoid disruptions caused by concentrated migration activities near the deadline.
