Recently, HTX has identified fraudsters impersonating official P2P Business Development (BD) personnel on social media platforms such as Telegram, who proactively contact P2P Advertiser applicants to carry out scams. To ensure the asset security of all P2P Advertisers, we hereby issue the following reminders.
I. Official Statement
- The official team will never require P2P Advertisers to make additional transfers to a BD personnel's UID or any personal account. All security deposits should only be paid within the platform in accordance with regulations.
- All P2P Advertiser review procedures are conducted through the platform's official channels. BD personnel and customer service representatives will never request that Advertisers transfer funds (including USDT, fiat currency, or any other assets) via private chats.
- Any "official personnel" who request private transfers, wallet private keys or mnemonic phrases, or extra fee payments are scammers. Please terminate communication and report them immediately.
II. Official Application Channel for P2P Advertisers
The only official way to apply to become a P2P Advertiser is: Open the HTX app → Go to "Buy Crypto" → Navigate to the P2P page → Tap "···" in the upper-right corner → Select "V-Advertiser Application" → Fill in the required information and submit.
Any claims of "internal application quotas", "proxy applications", or "expedited channels" outside the official method are false.
III. How to Verify the Identity of P2P BDs
Before communicating with anyone claiming to be an "official P2P BD," P2P Advertisers should complete the following verification steps:
- Check Official Links: Carefully compare whether the account or link provided by the counterparty is fully consistent with the official BD information published by the platform. Pay close attention to identifying counterfeiting methods such as look-alike characters or slight spelling variations.
- Verify via Official Verification Channel: Visit the platform's official verification page to verify identity. The link is as follows:
- Double Confirmation: If you have any doubts, please perform a second verification through the platform's official online customer service. Never judge someone's identity solely based on their own claims.
- Official P2P BDs and Communication Group Links for Various Markets:
Please contact the BD of the corresponding market only through the official information below. Remain highly vigilant against any "official personnel" contacted via other channels.

IV. Notes
- Do not blindly trust phrases such as "accelerated review", "internal channels" or "transfer me the deposit privately for guaranteed approval".
- Do not disclose account passwords, Google/SMS verification codes, wallet private keys, or mnemonic phrases.
- Do not migrate official communications to unfamiliar, non-official private chat channels on Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.
- Upon receiving any suspicious contact, take screenshots to save evidence immediately and contact official customer service for feedback.
V. What to Do If You Encounter a Scam
If you have inadvertently fallen victim to a scam or noticed any suspicious activity, please take immediate action:
- Stop all communication and transfer operations with the suspicious account.
- Retain evidence such as chat logs, transfer credentials, and the counterparty's account information.
- Contact the platform's official customer service to file a report, and we will assist in subsequent handling.
