Dear Valued Users,
Further to HTX’s announcement of the retirement of Canada-based users, HTX has ceased the point card receiving functionality for Canada-based users at 08:30 (UTC) on Dec 16, 2021. Canada-based users will no longer be able to receive point cards from other accounts, they can also no longer transfer point cards between a parent account and sub-account.
All functionality for point cards held by Canada-based users will be ceased at 16:00 (UTC) on Dec 31, 2021. HTX will take a screenshot of Canada-based users’ point cards at 16:00 (UTC) on Jan 1, 2022 (the “Screenshot”). Based on the Screenshot, the point cards of Canada-based users will be repurchased. Canada-based users will receive USDT for the repurchase of their point cards in their parent exchange account. Please see below for details.
- For point cards that were purchased directly from HTX, HTX will verify the purchase records and repurchase the point cards from Canada-based users according to the original purchase prices in USDT.
- For point cards that Canada-based users received from other accounts, HTX will repurchase the point cards from Canada-based users at the market price (with a 30% discount) in USDT.
- For time-limited point cards (which cannot be transferred) that users purchased directly from HTX, HTX will verify the purchase records and repurchase the point cards from Canada-based users according to the original purchase price in USDT.
- For time-limited point cards (which cannot be transferred) that users earned from HTX activities and campaigns, HTX will repurchase the point cards from Canada-based users at the market price (with a 30% discount) in USDT.
When determining the original purchase price of the point cards, HTX will deem that the point cards with the lowest original purchase price are used by the Canada-based user first.
For illustration purposes only:
User A purchased 10 point cards at 1 USDT each on Jan 2021. User A then purchased 10 point cards at 1.5 USDT each on Feb 2021. User A at 16:00 (UTC) on Jan 1, 2022 had 10 point cards remaining. HTX will deem the original purchase price of User A’s remaining 10 point cards to be 1.5 USDT each.
Users from other unrestricted countries or regions will not be affected.
