Cardano Foundation and Blockforce have launched a two-tier system for tracking supply chains in compliance with regulatory requirements. Cardano is used as a public layer for verifying data on the Blockforce platform. Blockforce is developing a platform to track goods at all stages of corporate supply chains. Cardano is a blockchain network designed for creating secure and verifiable digital records.
The system separates confidential information from its public verification. Data on each stage of the supply chain is stored in a private network and accessible only to authorized participants. Only cryptographic proofs of the authenticity of this data are recorded on the Cardano blockchain. This allows auditors, regulators, and customers to verify the validity of a record without gaining access to the information itself.
One of the companies using the solution is Azzas 2154 — the largest fashion industry company in Latin America. The company tracks the origin of leather. For each product, the system compiles tax documents, supplier data, and information from official government databases into a single history.
Under signed contracts through 2030, the system is expected to process 6.5 million certified records. In the future, Cardano Foundation and Blockforce plan to extend the solution to the automotive industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and the cosmetics sector.
