Loopring (LRC) is a Layer 2 scaling solution built on Ethereum using zero-knowledge rollups (ZK-rollups). It encompasses company operations, protocol development, a decentralized exchange, and the LRC token. Loopring aims to solve Ethereum’s high fees and low throughput, offering faster, cheaper trading through a non-custodial, order book-based DEX protocol. It preserves Layer-1 security while delivering a CEX-like user experience.

Team:
Founded in 2017 by Daniel Wang, a former Google software engineer.
Current CEO Steve Guo entered the University of Science and Technology of China at age 15 and earned a PhD in computer science in 2005. He worked at Intel as an engineer and tech lead. In 2018, he founded Dora Network, focused on sidechains and interoperability, and joined Loopring in 2019 to lead zkRollup development.
