Mining Company MARA Transferred 996 Bitcoins

Lookonchain reported that Bitcoin mining company MARA Holdings transferred 996 BTC (approximately $81.13 million). While there is speculation that this movement could indicate a sale or "dump" by the company, the available transaction data does not confirm an actual sale on the open market. Analysts note that since Galaxy Digital, the recipient, provides institutional trading and asset management services, the transfer might instead be related to custody, institutional trading, or other financial arrangements rather than a direct market sell-off.

Bitcoin Wallets Dormant Since 2010 Moved 5,400 BTC in September

In September, long-dormant Bitcoin wallets came back to life, moving approximately 5,400 BTC. According to data from BTCparser, among these were coins that had not conducted any outgoing transactions for over 16 years, originating from wallets inactive since around 2010. It's important to note that the reactivation of these old addresses does not automatically mean the owners are selling their Bitcoin. The coins could be transferred to a new personal wallet, a custodian service, or to an over-the-counter or exchange platform. Such internal transfers do not directly impact the market.

Sequans exits Bitcoin treasury strategy after selling remaining 314 BTC

Sequans Communications, a French semiconductor company, has fully exited its Bitcoin treasury strategy by selling its remaining 314 BTC. This move completes the liquidation of a position that once exceeded 3,200 BTC. CEO Georges Karam stated the sales were used to eliminate convertible debt and strengthen the balance sheet, allowing the company to refocus on its core IoT and software-defined radio businesses. Sequans began reducing its holdings in late 2025, less than six months after launching the strategy, and confirmed in May 2026 it would monetize the remaining Bitcoin. This exit is part of a broader 2026 trend where multiple digital asset treasury companies have liquidated or scaled back their Bitcoin holdings amid a bear market. VanEck research identified at least nine firms that have fully abandoned their strategies this year, alongside others making substantial sales. Examples include UK-listed Satsuma Technology, which sold its entire 669 BTC position after shareholders voted to return capital and delist. Companies cited reasons such as debt repayment, working capital needs, and strategic shifts for their exits.

Following the latest U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) data, Jiang assessed the probability of a Fed rate hike has increased to 70%. He also expressed expectations for negative impacts from upcoming Consumer Price Index (CPI) data and is prepared to open short market positions if conditions become favorable. This sale marks a sharp reversal from Jiang's previously more optimistic market outlook. Japanese Company Remixpoint Sells All Its Altcoins and Focuses on Bitcoin (BTC)! Here is the List of Sold Altcoins

Japanese publicly traded cryptocurrency company Remixpoint has announced the sale of all its altcoin holdings, including Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE), realizing approximately $736,800 in profit from the disposals. The firm stated it will now focus its investment and operational strategy solely on Bitcoin (BTC), which it already held about 14.92 units of, valued at roughly $1.026 million. This strategic shift marks a move away from a diversified altcoin portfolio towards a concentrated Bitcoin-centric approach, aligning with a trend among institutional investors to treat Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset. The company has not disclosed any plans to re-enter the altcoin market under its new direction.

Who is behind the movement of $408 million worth of ETH to exchanges?

Blockchain analysts have detected a significant movement of 167,855 ETH (worth approximately $408 million) from multiple addresses into a single wallet, which is gradually being transferred to exchanges. In just the last two days, this large holder deposited 70,739 ETH (about $174 million) into the wallet, while still holding 97,115 ETH (valued at around $237 million) that has not yet been moved. Consolidating funds from several wallets before sending them to exchanges is a typical on-chain indicator of an entity potentially preparing for a large sale, though other purposes like storage, collateral, or OTC settlements are also possible. The implied price of the moved ETH is around $2,430 per coin, aligning with pre-end-of-August trading levels, suggesting the holder accumulated this position from various sources. The scale is notable even for "whale watching," and the rapid transfer of such a large amount to exchanges in a short period indicates an active strategy. If the remaining holdings are also moved, it would roughly double the volume already sent to order books. This follows a broader 2023 trend of older, dormant Ethereum "whales" awakening and moving substantial holdings toward liquidity. Should the wallet owner proceed with a full outflow, it could become one of the largest single-wallet ETH movements of the year.

US Authorities Sell Anthropic Shares Confiscated from SBF Associates

U.S. federal authorities have sold confiscated shares of AI company Anthropic that previously belonged to Caroline Ellison and Nishad Singh, former executives of Alameda Research and FTX who pleaded guilty in the FTX fraud case. The shares were seized as part of a criminal forfeiture after they testified against founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF). The U.S. Marshals Service sold the shares to existing Anthropic investors in 2025. Ellison and Singh had invested $10 million and $40 million, respectively, in Anthropic's 2022 Series B round. Since then, Anthropic's valuation has skyrocketed, reaching an estimated $965 billion in May 2026. Experts estimate the confiscated shares could now be worth billions, but they were likely sold for significantly less in 2025, with estimates ranging from $250 million to $1.1 billion. The exact sale price and date remain undisclosed. It is unclear if the proceeds will go to FTX creditors. While the Justice Department stated forfeited assets are intended for victims, the funds have not yet appeared in FTX's bankruptcy filings. Legal experts note the government could technically retain some funds for investigative costs. A major FTX creditor argues the sale proceeds should compensate customers, who he believes remain under-compensated as bankruptcy claims are based on lower 2022 crypto prices.

Bad News from the Company that Accumulated a Large Amount of Dogecoin (DOGE)!

CleanCore Solutions has drastically shifted its strategy, moving away from managing Dogecoin (DOGE) treasury assets and into AI infrastructure. According to SEC filings, the company sold nearly all of its approximately 463 million DOGE tokens on July 20 for about $33.4 million. The proceeds were used to fund investments in AI data centers. Additionally, the company conducted a $100 million IPO, increasing its outstanding shares by roughly 122% to 502.1 million, with further potential dilution from outstanding warrants. In a shareholder communication, CleanCore announced it has raised or allocated approximately $140 million in equity for its AI data center campus in Minnesota. This sum includes the net proceeds from the $100 million share offering and the funds from the DOGE sale. The company has an agreement with Cerebras Systems for the Minnesota campus, involving an initial 10-year contract worth about $800 million. If all extension options are exercised, the total contract value could exceed $3 billion. CEO Tyler Hassen stated this funding accelerates the Minnesota campus project, aiming to address electrical infrastructure bottlenecks hindering AI computational capacity growth.
