Ethereum is showing two different but connected signals against Bitcoin and the U.S. dollar. While $ETH/$BTC stays trapped below a key resistance level, $ETH/USD is testing a breakout retest that could decide whether the next push higher begins.

$ETH/$BTC Holds Tight Range as 0.03 Stays Key Resistance

Ethereum has moved almost in step with Bitcoin over the past month, leaving the $ETH/$BTC ratio stuck in a narrow band near 0.029, according to chart data shared by DaanCryptoTrades on X. The one day Binance chart shows $ETH/$BTC trading around 0.02929 on March 6, while price action stayed compressed inside a small sideways box through late February and early March.

That range matters because it shows Ethereum has stopped losing ground to Bitcoin for now. However, it also shows $ETH has not started leading again. Instead, both assets have moved in line with each other, which kept the ratio stable after months of broader weakness. The chart highlights 0.03005 as the first nearby resistance, while 0.03259 and 0.04109 remain higher levels to watch if momentum builds.

DaanCryptoTrades said the horizontal levels still matter, and the chart supports that view. $ETH/$BTC has reacted to these zones several times over the past year, both during rallies and declines. Most recently, the pair dropped into the current range and then held there without a decisive breakout in either direction. That pattern suggests traders are waiting for clearer direction before repricing Ethereum against Bitcoin.

For now, 0.03 remains the first line Ethereum must reclaim if it wants to show renewed relative strength. A break above that area could open room for a move toward the next resistance zone near 0.03259. Jordi Visser, a veteran macro investor with over 30 years of experience, assessed the structural changes in the US economy, the disruptive impact of the AI revolution on markets, and why Bitcoin is the “most realistic trade” in this new world.

VisserLabs writer Visser, a guest on renowned investor Anthony Pompliano’s program, stated that the global economy and financial systems are on the verge of an unprecedented period of volatility. According to Visser, the current capital structure was designed for a “slow-moving” world; however, artificial intelligence and technological speed are fundamentally disrupting this structure.

Visser stated that almost 100% of the gains and stock levels seen in the markets today are dominated by artificial intelligence. “Without artificial intelligence, the stock market wouldn’t be at the levels it is today,” said Visser, adding that this technology is not only a productivity tool but also a force transforming existing business models and the job market.

Analyzing the latest employment data, Visser noted that, excluding the healthcare sector, the US economy has not created net jobs for about a year. He argued that AI is beginning to replace labor, particularly in fields such as accounting, law, and software, and that this is disrupting traditional economic relationships.

One of Visser’s most striking claims was that Bitcoin is actually the most suitable asset for the economic order that artificial intelligence will create. Visser predicts that the US stock market (S&P 500) may stagnate in real terms in the next decade, and that wealth will shift from traditional financial channels to private entrepreneurs and digital assets. He told his colleagues only after the money was gone. Nevin Shetty, the former chief financial officer of a Seattle-based tech startup, was sentenced Thursday to two years in federal prison after secretly transferring $35 million in company funds into a cryptocurrency platform he ran on the side — then watching nearly all of it disappear in a matter of months.

A Scheme That Ran In Secret
Shetty made the transfers in 2022 without the knowledge of a single executive or board member at his employer, according to the US Justice Department.

He moved the funds into a platform called HighTower Treasury, which he controlled, and used the money to pour into high-yield DeFi lending protocols promising annual returns of 20% or more.

In the first month, he cleared $133,000. Then the Terra ecosystem collapsed, and the broader crypto market followed it down.

By May 13, 2022, the value of those investments had fallen to nearly zero. With $35 million essentially wiped out, Shetty approached two fellow executives and told them what he had done. He was fired the same day.

The case sat in federal court for years. Shetty was indicted on wire fraud charges in May 2023. A nine-day jury trial followed in November 2025, ending with a guilty verdict on four counts.

At sentencing Thursday, a Seattle judge handed down the two-year prison term. Shetty was also ordered to repay the stolen funds in full and serve three years of supervised release after completing his sentence.
