The Ethereum Foundation’s recent wave of departures is reigniting an old debate inside the crypto industry: what is going on with the main steward behind Ethereum, and why does the community know so little about what is happening behind the scenes?

Days after several high-profile figures shared they had left the Ethereum Foundation (EF) amid an internal shakeup, community members on X began openly questioning the organization’s direction, leadership structure and communication practices.

“What’s happening at the EF?” crypto commentator Andy, the co-founder of the Rollup podcast, wrote in a post on X.

Others echoed similar frustrations, arguing the EF has failed to clearly explain the rationale behind the changes or how responsibilities inside the organization are evolving.

“Why can’t the EF just be transparent about things,” wrote Joon Ian Wong, a prominent figure in the crypto community events space.

The criticism reflects a longstanding tension surrounding the Ethereum Foundation, the Switzerland-based nonprofit that plays a central role in funding research, coordinating upgrades and stewarding development of the world’s second-largest blockchain by market capitalization.

Unlike traditional corporations, the EF has historically operated with a loose and decentralized structure. Some have argued that the model preserves Ethereum’s neutrality and prevents excessive concentration of power. Others however say the approach has increasingly clashed with the expectations of an ecosystem now underpinning hundreds of billions of dollars in assets and decentralized financial activity.

$XRP has been consolidating in a tight range between $1.42 and $1.46 for weeks. To casual observers the flat price looks like stagnation. To analysts tracking the technical structure, it looks like the final stage of accumulation before a significant move.

According to analysts, $XRP is currently in what they describe as a coiled spring setup, where prolonged price compression stores energy for a sharp directional move when the range finally breaks.

The trigger level is $1.50. That is the neckline of an inverse head and shoulders pattern forming on the four-hour chart, a classic bullish reversal structure. A confirmed break above it, analysts argue, would open a technical path toward a new all-time high.

The argument for a new all-time high this year rests on a combination of factors that did not exist in previous cycles.

The SEC lawsuit reached final resolution in August 2025. The court ruling that $XRP secondary market sales are not securities removed the regulatory uncertainty that kept institutional capital sidelined for years. That legal clarity has since been codified into the CLARITY Act, which cleared the Senate Banking Committee last week with a 75% probability of becoming law in 2026 according to Galaxy Research.

Spot $XRP ETFs have accumulated over $1.5 billion in assets. Goldman Sachs disclosed a $153.8 million position spread across Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, and Grayscale products. Weekly inflows into $XRP investment products spiked 1,220% in early May. Institutional bots running time-weighted average price strategies have been quietly accumulating at current levels, with one tracked bot purchasing 10,000 $XRP every 18.5 seconds during a single afternoon session.

Ondo Finance [$ONDO] surged despite ongoing market uncertainty, raising questions about the reason behind such gains at a time when geopolitical tensions are at their peak and the broader crypto market continues its bearish streak.

At press time, $ONDO rose 15.60% to $0.3415, lifting its market capitalization to $1.85 billion. Investor support for the rally was evident as trading volume surged 196% to $267.44 million.

A key driver of this upward momentum appears to be the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) recent plan to permit trading of tokenized stocks. In this space, Ondo Finance controls more than 60% of the total tokenized equities market.

In fact, market participants had already begun showing interest and confidence in the project even before the SEC’s plan.

Data from analytics platform DeFiLlama discloses that Ondo Finance’s Total Value Locked (TVL) has witnessed a massive rise in 2026. Since the beginning of the year, the TVL has surged from $1.929 billion to the current $3.689 billion, nearly doubling in less than five months.

This indicates growing investor confidence, rising platform adoption, and increasing capital inflow into the project, which could further strengthen $ONDO’s long-term bullish outlook.

Meanwhile, the top 100 addresses have also increased their Ondo Finance holdings over the past thirty days. Data from analytics platform Nansen reveals that the top 100 $ONDO holders increased their holdings by 1.25%, which further reinforces $ONDO’s bullish outlook.

Despite the bullish outlook, intraday traders are currently eyeing the price to move lower, as per derivatives platform CoinGlass.

At press time, the key liquidation levels stood at $0.376 on the downside and $0.401 on the upside. Traders at these levels had built $2.90 million in long‑leveraged positions and $3.14 million in
