Aave V4 is gaining momentum during its capped launch phase with a redesigned market structure, according to an announcement from Stani Kulechov. The protocol introduces a two-layer isolation model that segments collateral across separate Hubs, which are further divided into Spokes, with liquidity sharing selectively capped within each Hub across its Spokes.

The initial market structure is organized around three Hubs: Prime, Core, and Plus, with additional Hubs expected to launch in subsequent phases. This architecture represents a shift from Aave's previous market design, implementing greater granularity in how collateral isolation and liquidity provisioning are managed across the protocol.

The capped launch phase allows Aave to roll out V4 incrementally while monitoring performance and risk parameters across the new market structure before full deployment.

Solana price remained under pressure after failing to break above the key $98 resistance zone, with multiple bearish chart patterns and weakening derivatives data raising the risk of a deeper correction below the $80 support level.

According to data from crypto.news, Solana ($SOL) traded around $84 at press time on May 19 after failing to sustain a recent rebound toward the $98 resistance zone. The token has now fallen more than 70% from its 2025 highs near $295, with price action continuing to compress within a narrowing bearish structure.

The latest decline comes as multiple bearish chart patterns begin aligning across both the daily and weekly timeframes, increasing the risk that Solana could revisit the lower end of its multi-month trading range.

On the daily chart, Solana appears to have formed a bearish flag pattern following its sharp breakdown earlier this year. The structure consists of a steep decline followed by a weak upward-sloping consolidation channel, which is typically considered a continuation setup favoring further downside once support breaks

The token recently failed to break above the upper boundary of that channel near $98 before reversing lower again. A rejection from the top of a bearish flag often signals that sellers remain firmly in control, especially when momentum indicators fail to confirm the attempted breakout.

Crypto analyst Ali Martinez also highlighted the weakening setup in a recent post on X, stating that Solana “failed to break above the top of the channel at $98, which could trigger a retest of the channel bottom near $78.”

BitGo creates modular digital asset infrastructure model for banks

Crypto custody company BitGo launched a modular digital asset infrastructure platform for banks combining custody, trading, settlement, staking and stablecoin services for financial institutions exploring crypto products and onchain payments.

The company said banks can integrate services individually while maintaining control over compliance, governance and client-facing operations. BitGo said the platform is already being used by institutions including Erebor Bank, Banco de Crédito del Perú, TowerBank and InvestiFi.

BitGo said the system also includes “crypto-as-a-service” tools that allow banks to offer custody, wallet and trading services under their own branding. The company said institutions can adopt products in stages based on operational and regulatory requirements.

“The rapid growth in the value of cryptocurrencies and digital assets has led to growing banking needs for the crypto industry and growing interest in new potential business opportunities from the banking industry,” the US Congressional Research Service said in a February 2025 issue analysis.

Founded in 2013, BitGo is a California-based digital asset infrastructure company that provides crypto custody, trading, staking and settlement services for banks, exchanges and institutional investors.

Last week, the company reported $3.8 billion in first-quarter revenue, up from $1.8 billion a year earlier, as higher crypto trading activity and growth in its stablecoin business boosted results. Despite the revenue increase, the company posted a net loss of $60.7 million for the quarter, partly due to a non-cash loss tied to the value of its Bitcoin treasury holdings.
