CVDD is an on-chain technical indicator based on the amount of aging capital entering the market. This on-chain indicator is commonly used to highlight long-term support or resistance zones based on the movement of long-held tokens.

The Cumulative Value Days Burn line (typically the lowest line in the channel) indicates a phase of significant undervaluation. Channel extensions (resistance bands, often targets during bull markets) are then created by applying Fibonacci multiples to the base CVDD line.

However, analysts are closely watching the key on-chain support level of $63,700: a break below this level could exacerbate downside risks, with the first major support level at $57,000, followed by $52,400; a further drop towards $48,700 would imply a deeper correction and force the market to reassess Bitcoin's medium-term bullish outlook. Currently, bulls and bears are fiercely battling within the $63,000-$65,000 range.

Joao Wedson, founder and CEO of Alphractal, commented:

“When the market breaks below key on-chain structural levels, it often signals the start of a new phase of redistribution.”

To illustrate his point, Wedson also included a chart of a Fibonacci-adjusted market average price model. The chart shows that when Bitcoin [BTC] trades within the lower green and blue bands, it typically indicates strong accumulation and sustainable growth; however, as of early March 2026, Bitcoin's trading between $67,000 and $74,000 has pushed it into the yellow to orange “hot” zone, indicating that market valuations are inflated. While it hasn't reached the extreme red zone peaks seen at historical market tops, it has moved away from a period of steady growth and entered the late stages of a more volatile cycle.
